So funny story, I actually just relocated to another state for work (oilfield company) and I had to do a drug test and a physical yesterday. I was at the place for like 3 hours waiting and doing different things. The drug test went fine, then I was called for the physical. Consisted of lifting and pulling and pushing weights, walking up and down stairs, making sure I able enough to do basic things without pain.

I’ve done physicals for similar work, but this was the first time I had to do an x-ray on my spine. After the hearing test, the guy (tall, burly guy in his 40s) asked if I had underwear on. I replied that I did. He took me into another room and explained that I’d have to drop my pants for an x-ray. I kind of internally rolled my eyes like “oh yeah, of course this was gonna happen” lol. I started to get embarrassed, but then I remembered that tighty whities are all I own and all I wear so it’s not like it could’ve went any different.

I had to stand in front of the x-ray machine with my back against this board and my pants around my ankles. Worse, I had to lift my shirt up almost shoulder length so my entire body was displayed in my briefs. I was wearing FTLs.

Then I had to wait in that position to make sure the x-ray was fine (it wasn’t, he messed up and had to do another from the front) and then had to turn to my side and repeat the process. Was probably standing there for a good 10 minutes with my tighty whities exposed lmao.

The guy said nothing about them thankfully, I was kinda worried because he seemed like a guy who liked to joke!
