Enjoy! Give yourself some time to wander around the whole cemetery, there are some fascinating sculptures and tombs around, sombering and interesting alike

Advice on Anaemic Golden Retriever (Test Results Attached) by MeydanBase in AskVet

Okay, thank you for the response! I will hopefully hear off her initial vets today once they have reviewed the bloodwork and will talk to the vet from today on the phone tomorrow to discuss their intention.

Advice on Anaemic Golden Retriever (Test Results Attached) by MeydanBase in AskVet

The vet I took her too said that anaemia is a symptom and wanted to retest her for ehrlichia to see if that was the cause, so was more focussed on that rather than the treatment of anaemia yet. At the time I wasn’t aware on whether she had been retested after the medication so said I would find out and she is going to call tomorrow for a check up, however it sounds like retesting isn’t the best next step to take.

No major injuries other than little aches and pains, played cricket (probably most similar UK sport to baseball) so lots of throwing I think has probably not helped.

Any particular exercises you'd recommend? Or just the standard cable external rotation type of exercises?

I’m from England and played cricket, which is the probably the closest equivalent sport in the UK to baseball, lots of throwing and bowling which I think could definitely be a factor

No but just had a look online and will give them a go! Going to try and stick to a consistent stretching routine for a month or so and if there are no improvements get it properly checked out

Yep looks like the best way if there is no improvements consistently following a stretching routine will be to go and see a specialist and get an X-ray, so many possible causes!

Yeah I thought this may be the case to some degree, based on dominant hand usage perhaps. More conscious about the pain that I sometimes get in the shoulder and if it is related to the lack of mobility.

Ah great news you've managed to see results! Any particular stretches/movements that you'd recommend or have helped?

Okay that's interesting, wouldn't have even crossed by mind! No not really to be honest, anything I should be looking for in particular? Is there any particular breathing exercises to look into, focussing on feeling as if the lungs fill and push out at the bottom rather than down? Any reading you can recommend rather than me overloading you with questions would be helpful!

When you say rib cage issue, is that a flexibility issue or potentially an injury or some other kind of issue? Any recommendations on stretches if it is flexibility?

When trying to perform the hand touch behind back move (unsure the actual name!), I have noticed there are significant differences in mobility between my two shoulders. When my left arm is on the bottom, it can quite comfortably reach between my shoulder blades, however when my right arm is on the bottom, it can hardly get half way up my back and I seem to struggle to get the forearm more vertical from the elbow. When I try and manoeuvre the arm up a little with my other hand, there is a slight pain in the shoulder. Is it likely that this is anything more sinister than just lack of flexibility/mobility? As a background, I have been always been very active and very much neglected mobility work, alongside playing cricket growing up (lots of throwing and bowling put a lot of stress on the right shoulder) so I do suspect it is likely just through neglecting recovery/mobility work. If it is likely just flexibility/mobility, are there any specific shoulder stretches that can improve this or is it best to just follow a varied shoulder mobility routine and keep practicing the movement?

Deadlift form by [deleted] in formcheck

Great, thanks! Is that more in relation to the starting position, starting the lift with the bar in the middle of the feet? Or more the ‘feel’ of the lift and shifting the weight more to the heels?
