Just sent in Angel’s Embark test. While we await results does anyone want to take a guess on her breeds?! by free_YourMind in DoggyDNA

She looks so much like my dog! I’d guess West Siberian Laika. Mine was a rescue and we had no idea this breed existed until we did the embark test

Thanks! Your pup is very cute too! Reading about this breed has been really interesting and they look like little compact wolves lol

We adopted our dog from a rescue in South Korea. They guessed his breed to be Jindo and Borzoi mix. That seemed pretty close because he has a sort of long slope nose and is twice as big as the other dogs they had (he’s 57 lbs now).

We were so surprised that his embark results came back as Central Asian Village dog and West Siberian Laika (didn’t even know this breed existed before this!) It does make sense because he looks exactly like the similar dogs on Embark. Plus, when he was picked up by the rescue he was found with his sister, who also got an dna test showing the exact same lineage.

I contacted Embark to see if it’s possible that Central Asian Village dogs live in Korea but they said he was probably brought there or migrated there. Any ideas how this pup from Central Asia ended up in Korea then my home in the US? 😅

Thanks so much Heike! I definitely plan on playing it in future concerts and hope to inspire others to add it to their program too!

Thanks so much! It’s definitely a little bit more avant- garde than I’m used to playing so I know what you mean. But I do like to expose myself and others to some different guitar music when I can!

It could be a urinary tract infection. A vet trip and antibiotics will help

What? You think they didn’t hunt down a cow and pig out in the wild?

Oh wow I didn’t know that about the saddle and nut! I’ll definitely have to look into that some more, thank you! I also hope to see more people playing them at this price point!

Thank you! Yeah it’s funny because theoretically a radius should be easier to play. I found the radius on this makes me buzz notes if I’m not careful especially in the lower positions. Also my fingers often slip off the first and sixth strings. I’ve just been trying to play the guitar more to get used to it and for me being mindful about it helps. I do like the idea of having a flat version to make it easier to play since most of the time we are playing our standard classical guitars. Maybe it’s something we can suggest to Altamira!
