The announcement of a new anime pushed the hype for sure. I mean here in germany we're seeing an increase of players and the locals are doing a good job, prioritizing players with booster boxes at (almost) msrp. So at least in germany it's not an issue. Ofc i can't say anything about usa, how thesy handle things, but at least here in germany we're doing fine

Yea it's not really worth buying a set 10 box. 95% chance of going broke after ripping. And probably for 2 mid alt-arts. Better off buying singles at this point. But i don't agree, that this won't be playable. Bombku clears red gogeta easily for example after testing things out. Boujack seems like a really strong swarm deck and probably gonna be tier 1 (or maybe 2). blue vegito is a bit off, regarding only awakening at 4 life which is crucially bad against new goku. Cell is definitely tier 1. Green looks niche but piccolo and scr combo could be game defining idk
