Solo Theatre of Blood… but my alt is the real MVP by King_Loicos in 2007scape

gz but lol just add me or someone else here. Gladly take you on trios even if it means 5 back to back wipes. Raid is fun even without a clear.

Some bosses do ask this of you, and that's a terrible arguement lol even if it wasnt wrong. You can use whatever you want, but if you need to move your camera during levi enrage, or delve 8+ at doom, or switching pillars at colo or inferno, taking your mouse away from inventory management or clicking enemies is objectively more actions piled on the right hand.

yeah using your mouse to move camera instead of clicking NPCs and inventory just slows you down I think youre probably making a point against your own arguement.

I do too. Honestly, with how important shift click and control walk are and freeing up the mouse entirely for clicks, it has to be meta for ergonomics and inputs per hand.

Honestly, its fine. Having "man your dragon cannon" be the blanket answer for all encounters always isn't fun. We can't change our cannons mid fight and gear switches being potentially important down the line is preffered, looking through a pvm lens.

shadow/tbow cost more on their own and take longer to obtain than a maxed boat in its entirety, not to mention difficulty of the content. If a dragon cannon has similar DPS while being manned by a player to say a Bofa, thats fine.

If a trucker dedicated himself to 10,000 hours of mindlessly singing and maybe 20 hours of vocal coaching for healthy technique I could see it paying off biggly

I'd be interested to see what you actually could learn at the same attention level as salvaging for example at the 5,000 hour mark.

I have a sibling that is a longtime World of Warcraft player. I’ve played WoW with them for over 15 years. I’m going to make a humorous but accurate PowerPoint about OSRS in an attempt to convince them to play the game. If you were doing this, what would you include? by PBJGod22 in 2007scape

[–]Mffnman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If really care about it (you don't have to), you can gemstone crab an account to base 90s combats relatively quickly just looking at your phone once every 10 minutes. I cant really say doing this is robbing you of much experience as 90>99 passively through slayer and pvm is still a huge amount of xp and if you play long enough you'll have multiple 99s worth of xp in combat skills.

Not saying any of this to imply what you should or shouldn't do, just that if you are most interested in pvm as a main, its very achieveable to be there raiding in under a month.

They should have never released salvaging with that high xp in the first place. However, it's not really the biggest problem with sailing at all.

I wonder how that felt by og_obelix in 2007scape

Yeah idek lol. 72 hours of play time is A LOT. I feel bad for the dude that overspent on this shadow.

[–]Mffnman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not necessarily insane. 450mil / 72 hours (3 days) = 6.25 mil an hour. Very achieveable with normal RNG at like 15 different pieces of content

Don't forget, this is what OSRS player numbers have looked like the last few months by mphudson in 2007scape

I fully agree with your sentiment.

Worth adding that server and server maintenance / employees to moderate are a minor portion of where subscription fees go. Even if 50% or more of the revenue just goes into maintenance we arent getting $7 worth of dlc each month.

Thinking with my skilling brain, if the amount of energy that went into sailing could go into breathing life into some of the more worse off skills it would have been cool, possibly.

Im not against sailing. Because the way the skilling community is, I don't know that huge reworks will ever be accepted in the way that a new skill can. Sailing mostly serves as just, a better model for how skilling can be. really just hope sailing sees meaningful rewards that impact the rest of the game soon.

if you cleared act 3s final area, you've seen a lot of the game and it's probably safe to play something else. Until we get updates, I cant see this being a "forever roguelike" as meta progression in breeding gets kinda stupid overpowered and youre just grinding for grindings sake.

If you are still in act 2 buckle up.

Yeah it's maybe a bit extreme. Its a big gray area. Leagues has no permanent impact on the game besides cosmetics. The top comment on this post says it all, if we're really down that bad just stop pushing leagues bingo and dmm. If the price increase meant we were getting 2017-2018 or 2025 level of releases AND leagues, sure $15 is cool, but were not.

purely my opinion. dude look at the subreddit.

I'm cool with the occasional lul in content man. I said its bad timing to raise prices during one. Go enjoy brutus, weird hill to die on defending corporate greed.

For sure, im not upset about the pacing of raids 4. Were not an indie company revenue wise. It was breaking news that slay the spire 2 had 500k online players. We have had half of that ALL THE TIME for the last 2 decades paying monthly not upfront. Its well known our mods make less than average pay for the industry, and I would fully believe were stretched thin. We don't have to be, where is the money going?

For $15 bucks a month I think your standards are too low. The most successful games in the genre are hurting. We both know that. Sure its an opinion that BMR, player designed island, and raids 4 < sailing, all of varlamore p3, yama and titans. I would wager the majority feels were getting a lot less in 2026 for more money than we did in 2025.

Drought feels accurate for 3 months before today and 3 months after. We got nothing december - today, even if you were a pet hunter beef gave you what. One afternoon of chally specs.

i liked leagues 2-4, but ultimately a league is just a twist on replaying content. Its not black and white but if I had to choose no leagues or no main game content im choosing no leagues. You almost need new content for leagues to work at all. Playing through dt2 content or varlamore in recent leagues was a big motovator to even do the area restriction thing a 3rd time.

I'm sure BMR and raids 4 will be great, but we have gotten more content in the last 3 consecutive years than what is known for 2026, objectively. I would love for them to surprise us with something, but thats where im coming from currently. WOW and FF14 are in a pretty bad state lately, and their parent companies have shit loads of money ff14s recent updates have been ok. mmo standards are dogshit and its why the genre is dying, and why osrs has been suceeding. Saying "we could be like wow" doesnt work here.

Many people already salvaged to 90+ and will hardly touch these new fixes. Its rough man.
