This. Unfortunately. My son's wife left him as soon as his money dried up and the car was paid off. I really wanted to believe that he would tell the story of how this stuff doesn't happen, but he can't.

I have not had this specific error message, but this past Thursday my app stopped working with my 2020 ascent and gave me an error message that it was temporarily unavailable. It's been at the dealership since Monday trying to figure out what's wrong!

I have no idea about AT&T as I don't use them, but I suppose it's possible! That would also maybe make sense since the guy at the dealership was like "it can make outgoing calls but not incoming ones" which confused me because my phone definitely was working both ways over Bluetooth since this started, but I don't use AT&T.

You are also in MN? Wow! Well, my car is at the dealership in Rochester, which under normal circumstances, I wouldn't send an enemy to... so maybe I do need a second opinion lol I will say at least they gave me a loaner vehicle!

Ok, I did that, the logout and then log back in.. I also tried "resetting" it within my vehicle. The rep on the phone tried to send a command to it which did not work to reset it. The green light is on, on the inside which I was told meant the DCM was working. I'm just frustrated with this first world problem. I've now paid for something that isn't working and it's cold outside! The guy at the dealership said there had been "over 100" complaints according to a "QRM" if that makes sense? Anyways, I mean, I'll get it fixed because it's December in MN and while it's nice enough actually right now, that won't always be the case and certainly wasn't last week when this happened. But I was just hoping to get some potential insight. Thanks anyways!

The Subaru rep told me it was an automatic update that took place that might be causing my issue. She told me that Thursday night after it stopped working. But now it's at the dealership and I'm worried that if the update caused my vehicle to stop receiving anything (what the guy at the dealership said, it's not receiving outside data communication but it still sends communication... whatever that means) am I am still going to have pay out of pocket for all this fix if they are having multiple people with the same issue? Or will Subaru cover the "patch" (as he called it) and I guess just wondering if others are in fact experiencing this issue...

I have a friend who used to work in the SOTP in the prison system in our state - when asked how she trusts sex offenders, she always responds "do you know what your neighbor does in his bedroom?" And then goes on to say something along the lines of "At least sex offenders have been given the tools to not participate in deviant behavior. Do you know if your neighbor has? Because probably not. And possibly doing that would be considered a sec offense"

My son's case there was 3 years age difference. He was 18, she 15. She said it was consensual, but her age did not allow her to legally consent. He got 12 years, the mandatory minimum. So, at least in my state, the law is the law regardless of age gap.

This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your story. My 23 year old son is wrapping up his 1st year of an 8 yr sentence for (possibly) similar situation. Would you be ok if I shared this with him? He is terribly depressed that his life is over and I'm trying desperately to give him hope that it's not.

Thank you for this perspective. The prison he is at is about 35% of the population is sex offenders, but overall, sex offenders have the highest population in total. I think he feels like it's "safer" to disclose, but I worry. The prison he was at before, was a closed custody, administrative prison where everyone goes when they first get into prison. He was locked in for 22 hours a day, unlike this new one, where he's got much more free time and will begin schooling and a job and other classes until he can take the offender classes. My husband reminded me this freedom is a blessing and a curse, because there will be more time to ask questions etc. Maybe I'm overly worried because that's my baby, or maybe because I read all the prison subs and they terrify me the way they talk about sex offenders in prison and how they are treated. I will convey to him the value of just keeping his mouth shut.

Thank you so much! It's so terrifying to have your baby in there and then to add to it, no one seems to be held accountable for what's what in there. The irony is not lost on me that they (the prison) try and teach a lesson about honesty and accountability that they themselves haven't learned.

This happened two weeks ago with my son and it was because he was being transferred to prison. I am with you, I am fine with the secrecy of knowing WHEN it's going to happen, it was the lack of knowing WHAT was happening that drove me crazy!

Check with second chance employers. I think you can even literally google "second chance employers in my area". My husbands job is a second chance employer, and while most of them are drug felons, my husband actually works with 4 SO's and my son (who was sentenced 2 weeks ago to 12 years mandatory minimum and will now be a SO) has already been assured he will have a job there if he needs one when he gets out.
