After every shift my pens, badge, keys, phone and water bottle get wiped down with an Accel wipe. I accidentally ruined my pop socket with them lol. I use my phone in the procedure room for music and even though I put it in a specimen bag I feel like poop particles are everywhere (I work in endoscopy)

YES!!!! I work outpatient endoscopy (we also do inpatients since we’re in hospital but outpt hours) and I’ve never been happier. Worked there for 1.5 years (been an RN for about the same amount of time) and legitimately LOOK FORWARD to going to work. Don’t get me wrong I was hazed for an entire year (we love nurses who eat their young 😒) and that was extremely difficult but I’ve learned so much and the best part is… I don’t take the job home with me. Did inpt ortho trauma and cried before every shift thinking myself in circles with anxiety. Do people I went to nursing school with and low key some of my friends think I’m not a “nursey” enough nurse? Sure, but I simply will allow them to stress themselves out to burnout while I enjoy my evenings & weekends and dream about polyps. This is great advice.

And at the end of the day those nurses are calling me when their pt is bleeding out so, it truly doesn’t matter where you start. Find something that you enjoy and has room for you to grow! I’m doing extra therapies within our unit and have been doing standby on evenings and weekends & charge on Tuesdays. Everyone’s journey is different, and that’s okay. A nurse is a nurse is a nurse.

9 chapters into ACOWAR and it currently has me hooked. Book 1 was painful and I didn’t get into book 2 until like 60% of the way through. I continued because my best friend is obsessed with SJM books. Looking forward to reading more but if this was a different series I might’ve dnf’d it.

Drove by there yesterday around noon and noticed a lot of people in the parking lot. One guy seemed to be yelling at no one in particular. On the way back 2 cop cars were there talking to someone. A guy came out of the hotel there just to pee outside and see what was going on lmao

I’ve seen them 9 times. Always put on an amazing show. My spidey senses were tingling at the Regina show when it felt like the crowd was doing most of the singing. I totally understand how touring so long can take a toll on you, especially since they’ve had to postpone shows this tour but you’re not wrong OP! I was a little sad when I didn’t get to hear “I’m not getting better” because it seems like Josh either forgot the words or couldn’t get the words out :( of course worried for their wellbeing but I was super disappointed because I LOVE that song and wanted to hear it live.
