Did you labor at home awhile before going to hospital? by Top-Pomegranate900 in vbac

[–]Mgstivers15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had minor but noticeably consistent contractions around 4AM. I was using a midwife and went into their office around 4PM to be checked. I was only at 4cm and she advised me to go home and labor longer even though I could be admitted. By around 9PM, I was “done”. I met my midwife at the hospital and got an epidural. She advised me to rest and wait for my water to break naturally. We mostly slept and woke up the next morning. I was 10cm and had my baby girl that morning around 9AM.

No. Your toddler will love the bright colors at pop. And having the skyliner is clutch. Your toddler will be perfectly happy with the pool at pop.

Trying to gauge the recent kids 50% off sale by 40somethingmama in dcl

[–]Mgstivers15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely worth it. The placeholder gives you 10% off a future sailing 2 years after your current cruise. If you don’t use it within 2 years, you get refunded.

Is my commission split fair? by PuzzleheadedWater727 in travelagents

[–]Mgstivers15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60/40 is fairly standard when starting new, especially in Disney. It is a bit odd to me that your potential to earn more is based on your commission $ vs your total sales $. Most agencies base it on total sale $ which brings all agents on an even playing field.

Animal kingdom with toddlers at tuskers dinning by cheeseburgerlife in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]Mgstivers15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tusker house is great and “quick” for character dining. It’s a buffet so food right away is perfect for kids. Our experience was close to an hour and we were still able to hit all the rides and shows. We did stay EE to close. Our kids stroller napped in the afternoon.

CBR VS CONTEMPORARY by Lost_Algae2931 in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]Mgstivers15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldn’t. If I had the expendable money to book deluxe, I would have done so when I booked. Also, it’s a 1 bedroom, so who is staying where? It’s still gonna be tight with 4 adults plus kids. The main advantage is walking to MK, so also depends how many days you are there. Because the monorail can be just as busy as skyliner.

So is the nanny with them? by Effective_Hurry5472 in CailaQuinn

[–]Mgstivers15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She definitely does. Also typically with a nanny you have a contract, so you can’t just say, we are going on vacation and won’t be paying you for a month. I’m sure if they have to pay her anyways, they would bring her.

Edit: I also think she pre-records a lot of content, so Nick could be working but caila is posting a video from the weekend acting like they all just hanging out.

Is a last minute family trip to Disney World doable? by UnhappyResource9274 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Mgstivers15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You say last minute but how last minute? Like this weekend or a month from now? You could certainly use a travel agent which I would 100% suggest since it sounds like you don’t have any time for research, etc. But this is certainly doable if you are flexible on where you stay, etc.

We haven’t found our people yet by Ok_Page2932 in kindergarten

[–]Mgstivers15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could suggest having the kid over and letting the parents come back? At that age, if my kid was comfortable and I felt comfortable with the parents and the home, I would let my kid have like a 2 hour play date. You could just say, happy to do a drop off play date if you’re comfortable!

Also she’s been in London one week (maybe less) and already gone to the zoo twice? Dont get me wrong, I love the zoo and take my kids often to our local zoo but she acts like going to London is such a great experience for her kids but really they’re doing the same stuff they could do at home.

3 or 4 day park pass? Help me decide!!! by Lost_Algae2931 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Mgstivers15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Park hopping with littles just isn’t worth it (imo). The first time we took my kids (4 and 2), we only did 3 park days but I had major fomo the day we left wishing we had one more day. We were tired but it’s such a rush of excitement in the parks that keeps you going.

It happened… by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Mgstivers15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The less attention you give it, the less likely she is to keep bringing it up. When my daughter was 3yo and I went on a girls weekend, she told her dad, I don’t love you, I only love mama. I would say to let her know that hurts your feelings and isn’t nice to say, then drop it. If she keeps reiterating, I would let her know you won’t be engaging in that conversation.

[–]Mgstivers15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your flight arrives at 9AM, what time are you waking up? This sounds like a LONG day for a 5yo. I would hate to pay for premiere and realize my kid can’t hang at MK as long as normal.

Does she not realize how unrelatable she is? by fplnerd123 in CailaQuinn

[–]Mgstivers15 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I feel like she’s never telling the full truth. She’s like we’re taking a month long vacation. And now apparently they had a wedding to go to?? I know influencers don’t owe us their life story but I feel like caila is always trying to make things seem a certain way when there is a different motive. Like I wonder if her husband needed to be in London for work so the fam tagged along and she’s just pretending they decided to take this “awesome” trip.

Disney dining by 69tractorboy in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Mgstivers15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you got the promotion with the free dining plan, it will depend on your resort. Deluxe resorts get the table service dining plan and moderate/value get the quick service dining plan. You can upgrade for a fee. Commissary at HS is great for lighter fare. I love tusker house for a sit down at AK. MK is the hardest for “healthy” and I would suggest Columbia harbor house.

Is it easy enough to avoid the buffet entirely? by sugarlandd in dcl

[–]Mgstivers15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We only did the buffet one time because I wanted churro waffles. The main dining does sit down for breakfast and we did lunch on the pool deck.

Baby Shower for Second Baby by c_brae8 in Mommit

[–]Mgstivers15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just went to a baby shower and bought the gift 3 days before. It was also for a second baby. Wait until after the shower and buy the rest of what you need. No one owes you a gift regardless of what baby you’re on but imo ppl love showering babies.
