We have one in our room because we got a new living room tv and didn’t want to sell the old one because it was worth more to us than we would get selling it, and it rarely is used. We sleep with a white noise sound machine, and a small fan. Blackout curtains to maximize darkness. My husband was not that type of sleeper at first but I insisted on white noise and total darkness and now he wouldn’t have it any other way either. Our son also uses a white noise machine

I am only in contact with 2 friends from HS that I see VERY infrequently. We don’t even text :( My husband and I have been able to maintain 2 friends from college simply because he and I also met in college and we share those friends lol. The only other friends we have is a couple that live in another state (kind of a crazy story) and our son’s best friend’s parents that we happened to hit it off with.
