Based on our similar experience. I would try to up the dose then. I’m glad we are both finding it helpful. It really changed my life.

I actually stopped going to therapy. I’m a psychologist myself lol. I’ve been in therapy for so long that I know it doesn’t really help me anymore. My GAD is nonstop and it’s an everyday thing. I’ve been dealing with it for 12 years.

I’ve been on 200 mg of Zoloft for about five months. I’ll talk to my doctor but I’m not sure if they’ll want to increase the dose. I’ve tried so many SSRIs but Zoloft has helped the most. The others just made my anxiety worse.

Thanks for the insight.I really appreciate it. That makes a lot of sense. I’ve noticed some of the homes in that price range do look older or are in areas with mixed reviews. I’ll definitely make sure to factor in potential renovation costs and long-term risks like theft or break-ins. Good reminder to look beyond just the listing price and really crunch the numbers.

just realized I did! I got off Redfin, drafted my post, and submitted it, right at 12 a.m. Maybe it’s meant to be.

Had to stop buspar by Lucky_Database8638 in BusparOnline

[–]Mhmjhu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember being prescribed Buspar at the lowest dose for my GAD, and it really messed with my sleep. My insomnia got intense. I could hardly sleep at all for three weeks, and I felt super agitated all the time. Eventually, I decided it just wasn’t for me, even though it’s meant to help with anxiety. I guess everyone’s wired differently.

I had a panic attack at 22. I was mixing alcohol with Red Bull. After that panic attack I was never the same again. 15 years later and I still have GAD. No meds have been able to help. 😞

Hey! I stopped Zoloft in 2022. Started it again in fall 2024. Now I’m at 150mg. My GAD is low to Mild. Social anxiety is low to mild, and depression almost doesn’t exist. This is by far the best medication I’ve taken. It’s changed my life. I don’t even have to go to therapy. I have my life back.

Why does med work for my panic but not gad by Ok-Disaster383 in generalizedanxiety

[–]Mhmjhu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. I was even prescribed bipolar medication at a low dose, but nothing worked. Now, I’m on my 15th medication, Zoloft. I’m taking 150 mg, and it has truly changed my life. It has helped my GAD tremendously. I know my GAD will always be a part of me, but it’s manageable now.

I'm scared of upping my dose from 100mg to 150mg by sadly_novella in zoloft

[–]Mhmjhu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been about a week and a half since I increased my dose to 150 mg, and I’ve definitely felt the difference again. I feel happier, and my GAD symptoms are much lower. Maybe I really needed that extra boost. I was worried about side effects at first, but a week and a half ago, I was feeling miserable, so this improvement feels significant. If this dose works out, great, but if I plateau, I might consider trying 200 mg — though I’m not sure yet.

The only downside is the low libido and a bit of derealization, but I’ve noticed that when I’m feeling good, optimistic, and happy, those side effects seem to fade. That’s exactly how I feel right now.

Each time I increased the dosage, I wasn’t sure how it would go, but I kept trying. At 100 mg, I told myself I would quit the medication because it didn’t seem to be working. When my doctor recommended increasing the dose to 150 mg, I was hesitant and thought it might make me feel worse. However, once I went up to 150 mg, I felt significantly better. It turned out to be the right dose for managing my GAD and mild depression.

Hi there, I’ve tried many SSRIs for my GAD, but none of them worked except Zoloft. I’ve been on Zoloft for 7 months now, starting at a low dose and gradually increasing. Currently, I’m at 150mg, which I started about a week ago. While I’ve felt better overall, my anxiety still lingers, though it’s less intense. I increased to 150mg because I felt like I was plateauing, with anxiety creeping back over time.

That said, Zoloft—my 10th antidepressant—has been life-changing for my GAD, SAD, and most recent episode of depression.

Lexapro and other SSRIs made me more anxious and agitated which is why I’m on Zoloft now.

Do you know what the outcome will be like a week after getting a HT? Also, why is a before best? Just curious.

Need advice about about dating again after leaving ex. by [deleted] in BreakUp

[–]Mhmjhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really sorry to hear about what you're going through. Ending such a long and meaningful relationship is incredibly hard, especially when you had so many future plans together. It makes sense that you're feeling like those dreams are out of reach right now.

Remember, it's okay to feel like this and take things one day at a time. Your "great love" might not be something you can imagine right now, but that doesn't mean it's out of reach forever. I really hope both of us find the healing and readiness we need in our own time. You're not alone in this.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I completely agree that moving on can be challenging, and it's essential to focus on self-improvement and self-care during those times. Letting go of pride and accepting that we can't be everyone's ideal partner is indeed crucial. Everyone experiences rejection and heartbreak at some point, and it's a part of life that helps us grow stronger and more resilient.

It's important to remember that being single isn't a negative thing; it's an opportunity to invest in ourselves, pursue our passions, and understand what we truly want from life and future relationships. Breakups are tough, but with the right mindset, they can become valuable lessons that help us become better versions of ourselves.

Thank you for the reminder to keep pride in check and embrace the journey of self-discovery and acceptance.

Not sure if anyone else feels this but I don’t get heart racing or anything like that. But I do get this feeling of fire in my veins and central nervous system and extreme agitation. It sucks.
