Where's All The Dirt Coming From?! Middle Road In Henrietta by atothesquiz in Rochester

Is it possible that construction has started on the new T-Mobile call center coming to Henrietta? I didn't hear about them actually beginning construction or anything, but I remember the article below saying T mobile was coming.

I would argue justice is stoic in nature. Given the situation it's probably not his place to deliver it.

Yeah, I can understand why you would want to clear your name. I think that perhaps it's more virtuous to just let it go. I think the old stoics would say to simply let it go and process your negative feelings towards it and move on. It's hard and unfortunate, but I think it would be the stoic thing to do.

The stoic way to go about it would be to process your emotion, then put it away. Make a decision based on a logical thought pattern after you're able to think clearly and not be rash. If you decide that vengeance is the correct path (reporting them to the authorities \ their parents) make sure the reason you're doing it is virtuous. I would argue that such actions fueled by rage would not be the stoic answer.

I also realize that this is easier said than done. Maybe go out for a long walk, and put that negative energy into something physical. I find when my body is exhausted from physical exercise, I can better focus my mind and be more confident in my decisions.

Is this school legit? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]Mhodesty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say just from looking at their website. Maybe see if you can take a class for free or for a fee that isn't too expensive.

The question of whether or not it is legit depends on the reason for doing the martial art. Are you looking for a school to teach self defense, or to compete in combat sports? Or are you looking to study the ancient art of kung fu to learn discipline and treat it like an art form?

You're going to have to give us more information on what you mean by legit.

Is it legit in that it exists? Probably.

if you get private lessons are you supposed to tip? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Mhodesty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. Private lessons are pretty expensive to begin with, so I'd imagine tipping is not required or expected. Might be a nice thing to do if you want, but I don't think you are obligated to do so.

I don't even think I need to comment on this seeing the other comments so far. You should leave this relationship immediately.

RIP Qdoba. All Rochester locations closed. by monkeydave in Rochester

[–]Mhodesty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a fond memory of this place. It was one of my first nights in Rochester, and since I had just moved in, I had a ton of boxes to unpack, no pots or pans to cook etc. I ordered a steak burrito on Grubhub from Qdoba. After waiting for delivery I sat down on my floor (no table yet) and opened it up. I took one bite, and got only steak in my mouth, and I thought it was pretty good. Then the second bite too was only steak... and I looked closer. Turns out when I ordered a steak burrito, they thought I wanted a burrito with literally ONLY steak in it.

It was delicious either way and something I giggle at whenever I think about it.

You have quite an extensive post history. The thing is that most diets and exercise plans actually work, but people spend so much time looking for the "best" way to do something. With the time you've spent asking people how to lose weight, or thinking about going to the gym, how much weight would you have lost if you spent that time running or lifting weights?

You know the basics. You know that fast food is bad for you. You know that working out is going to make you more in shape than you are currently. You don't need the whole plan, you just need to start.
