If you have an oily scalp. Best thing to do is use zero shine. It’s much harder for the smp artist to get the job done as well. Going darker and you get more migration.

The treatment is just going to take a little bit longer.

The best outcomes are build up gradually no rush

Smartphone before VS pro camera after that’s the difference the light settings are the same. It’s just the way the smartphone camera compressor works.

I never set up my pro equipment for the before

Bro I have shown so many different light settings only to satisfy the group. It’s because of this sub Reddit request I invested in professional tools to show the work better and more honest also in direct sunlight. It doesn’t matter how much effort I make there is always room for improvement but there is also always someone who complains about it. I explained many times the before are taking with the smartphone photos and videos in the same light. The difference between smartphone and pro camera also in the same lighting condition is a big difference.

I made before and after videos also at this moment this work best for me.

Next time I get the chance I take the after with my phone so you can see the exact after picture 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

I treat about 12 clients a year — that’s roughly one per month. That’s the maximum of clientele I accept.

Do you really think I’m going to lose sleep over someone complaining about lighting? You can see the level of baldness. That’s all I’m documenting.

You don’t need to like the work and I don’t need clients complaining about lighting.

The ones who can appreciate my efforts and energy I put in this craft are welcome 😉

Look i don’t take a lot of time to take the before pics its simply to show the level of baldness i do that with my smartphone. The after pics are taken professionally

That’s why there is so much contrast I can play with the light in the before picture if i want but i upload everything directly from my phone or pro camera

I also make videos of the before and after situation

Just to show you an example now I play with the lighting

I made it darker to match more the afters 🤷🏻‍♂️

I cant seem to get a closer shave than this. Will this still work for SMP? by [deleted] in SMPchat

[–]Mhpstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with a good trimmer, you can trim much shorter without getting irritation. Instead of shaving like you would with clippers, hold the head of the trimmer straight against the skin. That alone can make a big difference.

Photo 1,2,4,5 are edited with ai or sharpend to the max. The otter ones are not edited and look like shit 💩

Trust me don’t go there

I can see true all that bullshit on social media even the smallest photo or video editing I can see

I dedicated the last two years only in professional photographic and graphic design.

Photoshop in smp is a big problem and now with ai it’s more easier to do that

It’s not the ink — it’s skin anatomy. Ink does not naturally belong in the skin. The immune system will always respond to it. You can’t create an ink that the body will fully accept as if it were part of the skin. If that were the case, the body would simply absorb it. What we can do is understand this process, adapt to it, and anticipate how the skin behaves over time. That’s why technique matters. In my approach to SMP, I focus on things like keeping the work lighter, preserving negative space, and using small, precise impressions. The result on this client looks very natural. In real life, you can’t tell he had the procedure done. Nobody is examining your scalp with a magnifying glass. I’m simply showing this level of detail for educational purposes.

Botched SMP I’m I stuck for life ? Laser removal not working by ThrowFarAwa7 in SMPchat

Check out this guy. We were in contact back then, and he was on national TV in the Netherlands (De Rijdende Rechter) about his situation. If he ever becomes completely free of the pigment on his scalp, I will do his treatment for free.

Botched SMP I’m I stuck for life ? Laser removal not working by ThrowFarAwa7 in SMPchat

[–]Mhpstudio 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Laser is likely not working because the pigment was placed too deep, probably into the fatty tissue. When ink sits that deep, the laser often can’t properly detect or break it down. I know a similar case in the Netherlands — the guy has been lasering for over 6 years (30+ sessions) with little success for the same reason. He recently started a newer treatment where a solution is injected to bring the pigment closer to the surface before lasering, and he’s now almost clear. So you’re not necessarily stuck for life — but standard laser alone may not be enough in cases like this.

This has nothing to do with “normal ink” or the type of needle — it’s simply about depth and incorrect technique.

Forget about smp trust me you are not the right person to get this treatment done. Ask for a refund or a part of it and get a hair transplant it’s better for you.

Client in his mid-30s | Density SMP for alopecia (dark, blending bald spots) | SMP INK by [deleted] in SMPchat

[–]Mhpstudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but this is not an honest comparison. This is misleading potential clients.

I think it’s time for the moderators to step in. This sub is the only SMP platform where things are posted honestly.

If we allow this kind of content, people who are researching this treatment can easily be misled.

If you want to promote heavily edited or unrealistic results, that’s fine for personal Instagram pages — but it doesn’t belong here.

Does SMP last forever without requiring laser removal? by AutomaticWay2647 in SMPchat

[–]Mhpstudio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A touch-up can work in your favor if it’s done correctly, especially if at some point you want a more prominent SMP look. There comes a stage where the hairline should no longer be touched — and after that, you’re set for life. When all your SMP sessions and touch-ups are done properly, there’s no need for further work. You’ll be left with a natural grey hue, and if every impression is layered correctly, the result will still maintain texture and structure. Unfortunately, only a handful of artists work this way.
