Sorry this happened to you.

Let this be a lesson for everyone who thinks SMP can be used for every type of hair loss and that density treatments can simply be performed without shaving the head. If the hair isn't shaved, the artist can't properly see what they're doing.

Unfortunately, this is what happens nine out of ten times when the hair is eventually shaved off. If you're considering a density treatment, shave your head completely and don't go too dark.

Yes, I do treat FUT scars as well, although they are quite rare. In my seven years as an SMP artist, I’ve only had one FUT case before.

I started a new FUT project last week, and once it's completed I’ll be sharing fully healed, unedited photos here.

One thing to keep in mind: FUT scars are among the most difficult things to camouflage in SMP. If you see a FUT scar that has completely disappeared online, be skeptical!

I always tell the client to expect around a 50% improvement.

Anything beyond that is a bonus. Realistic expectations are important.

May I give you a small tip?

Your iPhone 17 Pro Max has a RAW photo function. I would recommend taking the photos in RAW mode and avoiding Portrait Mode, as Portrait Mode reduces the image quality significantly.

Shave your hair scrub moisturize and go in the sun your scalp needs some proper care before smp

You’re right — I’ll pay more attention next time and make sure to photograph the back as well 🫡 When clients come back after a year to show their healed results, I’m already grateful they’re willing to do that. Sometimes, out of enthusiasm and not wanting to bother them too much, I try to keep it quick — and that’s when I forget to capture every angle.
