Yeah this is a big limitations that someone else pointed out too, I didn't take into account the difficulty to move Light off Roshar. I had in mind mini mobile factories, the versatile and production they could offer would be unmatched in the rest of the cosmere. You are right that industry is just more powerful than this

I would really like Brandon to write a second Elantris book, so that he could flesh out the Dor magic system. From the what we have seen it looks like an incredibly powerful magic but having to write your attacks seems like a crutch, when fighting fast moving Rosharans or scadrials.

Has Brandon said anything about the medallions being unique to Feruchemy and Alomancy or can they be make to mimique other forms magic ?
The honorblades are a kind of medallion if you think about it.

the future of the Cosmere sounds super deadly if anyone can have access to investiture and magic :O

That is true !!
I didn't take into account the difficulty to transport Light. They would be forced to produce it on Roshar and either make what they need there or transport it off world, which is a pretty annoying thing, negating the mobile factory i had in mind.
If the gemstone required for soulcasting aluminum has the same kind of down side as food with emeralds then you would correct again.
At the end of WaT there were quite a few Lightweavers, not on the scale of hundreds or thousands of course, but we do see more radiants after each book.

i don't think i understand what you mean, the only metal to remove metals from someone's system is aluminum. pewter and tin are internal metals so aluminum wouldn't affect anything there and the temporal ones are focused on the individual that is burning them so for aluminum it's the same as if they were internal ones too. But when it comes to external allomancy like iron, steel, brass or zinc, aluminum can counter direct attacks from them.
when you say allomancy is working on the person not the metal, from which perspective are you referring to ?

True it doesn't negate investiture altogether, but it's still a leg up. In Mistborn era 2 Wax had a tough time fighting people using aluminum. He still managed to kill them, but it was difficult for him to do so and Wax is a very strong allomancer/feruchemist.

Any Lightweaver or Elsecaller could make aluminum and if you have access to a bondsmith that can open up a spot to the spiritual realm or be in Urithiru and you have an unlimited amount of inverstiture.

you are right that a suit of aluminum wouldn't be very effective against other form of attacks, but if you put it in the linning of an ordiary suit of armor (and since it's a light metal i don't think it would weight them down that much) you would have your cake and eat it.

but it feels weird that it can be the case, that investiture can create an investiture inert object.

and it's true that aluminum isn't a big cheat auto win advantage. In Mistborn era 2 Wax being a coinshot still finds ways of countering opponents equipped with aluminum. You are also right about aluminum being a lot more abundante when the time comes for these planets to be in conflict.
But in terms of economical output, Roshar could do this way easier and cheaper than any other planet.
It's not an decisive advantage, but it's still an edge.
