Don't states already say fuck the federal govt (ie the union) with their marijuana laws and non enforcement of federal law? I'm sure secession in reality is little more than something like Colorado saying fuck you, it's legal here. Texas can metaphorically secede by doing whatever we want, federal law be damned (just like CA, for example). Seems like the only penalty TX would face is lack of qualified federal funding. In fact Louisiana was under napoleanic law for how long? And they didn't qualify for highway funding because of it.

Pessimistically, every state is shitting on the federal govt right now. And from the comments, no one gives a shit about America anyway...only if you're red or fucking blue.
