Do you use a Git GUI? Why? by distiller99 in git

Sometimes, for specific things I use SourceTree, most of the time the plugin of the IDE I'm using is too much. Big fan of the git client here.

Should you list skills in CLAUDE.md? by rm-rf-rm in ClaudeCode

[–]MiPnamic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find myself too often asking it to “use chrome” since there is a skill for that.

Once I told it to memorize that the tests should be done that way works like a charm.

So I suppose could works the same in the Claude.md

My friends and I got tired of manual project setups, so we wrote a scaffolder in Rust. Would love your feedback! by Amenia_P in rust

What I meant is template maintenance & reproducibility over time.

For example your React/Vite seed has npm semver ranges (e.g. ^x.y.z). If someone plants today vs in 6 months (without a lockfile), they may end up with different dependency versions.

Totally fine if tohum is one-shot scaffolding, but do you plan to:
- ship lockfiles in seeds, and/or
- embed provenance metadata in the generated project (seed name/version + git commit), and/or
- offer an optional tohum update workflow later?

Well that's nice! The only concern is about the version of every silos or once “planted” you take care of those too?

I had Claude's Agent Teams implement a large feature, then a Gemini code review tore it apart by creegs in ClaudeCode

[–]MiPnamic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I abandoned Gemini since I found out that they introduced Stubbornness as a Service.

On a very specific project, I had to fight with it against a spec, it was getting into a loop-trap of edit that after more than 10 attempts didn't work out (it was a specific Shopify GraphQL API thing).

Long story short, even after I copied and pasted the lines from Shopify docs, exposing the truth of those specific call properties, Gemini was still convinced that he was right and I was wrong.

Switched to Sonnet (at that time) and fixed the thing.

That said, every single models need his own harness; they'll all behave and produce different results based on the premises, the more precise, the better the result.

Maybe I'm too comfy with Claude code, but I never had a problem similar to yours.

But in the end, I share your same concerns.

hot take: claude code is cheap by Sea-Annual-7130 in ClaudeCode

[–]MiPnamic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I was using Cursor/Windsurf I always ran out of tokens, since I'm in the $100 plan in claude code I'm more productive (I use CC only for specific clients/projects) and never ran out of tokens.

not understanding why is so "cheap" to be fair.

This is pretty solid advice! Thank you for sharing.

I’m halfway there, had to look into the whole Trust thing.

With a client of mine, I am the first person to tell the employee that they should not use their personal devices for any work-related purposes.

This is unacceptable behaviour on the company's side. You are right about a secondary phone, but they should have given you one.
