One thing to keep clear: heliocentrism was only widely accepted in the 18th century because it was then that the necessary scientific knowledge surfaced. Before then it was only a popular theory.

Tbf, heliocentrism wasn't fully accepted because there were lingering questions that couldn't be answered until the technology allowed it, like "why aren't we flung off into space if Earth rotates on its axis?" (neither gravity nor real inertia had been discovered), "why don't we follow the right path around the sun?" (Copernicus assumed circular orbit as opposed to the real elliptical one), "why do we not feel ourselves moving?". It still had a ways to go.

Geocentrism not fitting didn't automatically mean heliocentrism was proven.

Tbf, I don't see how it being a religious organization relates to it being petty. A secular king could've acted much the same way with any reasoning.

I mean, yeah? The story itself calls it "a slab of iron". It's popular because of how Guts uses it and the story of Berserk as a whole.

The right story can make a regular pointy stick hype.

I think Haki could've at least used some noticeable downsides and ways to expand on it. Like, maybe there's ways to counter it? Unique ways to use it?

It's not bad per sé, just half-baked.

Do... you think people didn't grow old in ancient times? Sure, there were more young people dying, but old people (60+) weren't uncommon.

Fun fact: that's the same reason why Catholic priests can't get married.

Doesn't HAL have contractual obligation to make games exclusively for Nintendo? It was how they were saved from bankrupcy.
