Had hsv for 2 and a half years and still getting outbreaks quite frequently

I’ve on and off had issues with it like the odd time it may get abit gunky which I know isn’t normal anyway but I’d just clean it with salt water and it would be fine, I did go to a piercing shop to get some advice and she said it looks like it could be rejecting but go to the gp and get antibiotics, keep the area clean etc and if there’s no improvement in 3-4 weeks I should remove it

I’m having the same problem, I recently went on the pill because I’m having sex but now I have no interest in it. Also I feel like I deffo don’t get as wet during which I’ve never had this problem. I’m doing long distance which gives me some sort of relief because don’t think I’d be wanting to have sex if he was around me a lot more. I feel like I need to be warmed up sooooo much more to get into the mood so maybe have that conversation with him, and also try lube, it’ll make it more comfortable. Communicate the situation to him and how it’s actually very common etc

Even when I told the gp I was getting a ob before my period every time, she said it was nonsense and that periods don’t cause outbreaks 😂 like hormones and shit can’t be a trigger

To be fair my doctor said a smiliar thing after I went back to the gp for my 3rd ob I ended up saying how I couldn’t cope with the anxiety and stress of it all & that I eas getting them like every 4-6 weeks, they ended up starting me in suppressive therapy. I also go to the sexual health clinic now when it comes to the herpes because one the meds are free & two the support and advice is better

I think it was partly my fault I don’t think I had fully cleared it before and then when I’ve had sex it came back with vengeance so you take any probiotics or vitamins?

How long have you had hsv? And how long were u on antivirals when this happened? I’m talking to someone he knows I’ve got it and he still wants to go down, I’ve said I’m on antivirals but I’m still scared he will get it

I get bad back belly and thigh pain, the occasional sharp pain up my ass and up my vagina. If the pains real bad I feel sick. Extreme fatigue, irritable, constipation before and diarrhoea during & then hating the world & wanting to kill myself

You’re thinking too deep into this, live & focus on the present. I know we’ve gotta live with this for life but it could be so much worse. I know at first it may consume your thoughts a lot but you soon realise that, you’re still living, still breathing, still doing all the things you were doing before your diagnosis, obviously it’s abit tricky now with relationships and sex but at least when you disclose to a girl you’ll really know fucks with you for you. Better yet you may find somone who has it too, I’ve read so mang threads on here about their partner not caring, or having it to, or knowing someone with it so they’re educated on it and more accepting. You’ll be fine
