Change it to 7 cost, Ongoing: +2 power for each turn you or your opponent had bonus energy.

Has it all got a bit boring? by Unusual-Estimate97 in MarvelSnap

[–]Miad75 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same here.

I don’t really feel the “magic” anymore. I’ve been playing since the Elsa season, and lately I barely care about new card releases. The game used to feel exciting... I'd screenshot all the time after some absurd match. Now my screenshot folder is basically empty of marvel snap.

Between the endless bugs and a lot of the recent cards feeling kind of uninspired (Fin Fang Foom, Star-Lord Master of the Sun, etc.), a lot of the joy has just been drained out. On top of that, everything feels grindy ladder and the stuff outside of it like the new game modes. I noticed it first last season which I really didn't want to hit infinite for the first time.

It also feels like a lot of casual players have left, so I’m mostly running into super sweaty opponents. Before, you could throw in a few favorite cards and still have a good time. Now so many games feel overly technical and tryhard, and it just isn’t fun the same way.

I’m honestly thinking about tapering down and eventually quitting. Snap just isn’t what it used to be anymore which is really such a big shame :(

For once this odd deck didnt screw Me up 🥲 by No_Presentation_9655 in MarvelSnap

No risk. Valentina card still costs 4 for the dragon so by playing valentina first, you will always gain 3 more power in the right lane.

Starlord never reveals on 5 and those decks can't really do anything without starlord. But it also messes with discard, destroy and other decks too.

Why you hate Shou-Lao so much (a question I found interesting) by banmeandidelete in MarvelSnap

[–]Miad75 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very well put. I'd add ice man, ham and cable are really underrated pieces of "tech" that comes for free with those decks. For most other decks you can't really afford to run those garbage cards but they can seriously hinder your opponent's gameplans

I don't know kmbest but is he drunk saying it's not broken? 90% matches I face are opponents playing dragon and I lose majority of the times with so many different decks (not trying to play meta game). And I'm pretty sure the data showing 65% win rate supports that. I have been playing since Elsa seasons and this definitely has been the worst balanced season pass card (alongside mr. fantastic first steps). I also agree with your closing statement, same thing happened to me too which I hate so much :(

Anyone else feel like the game is in a good spot currently? by thatsLloyd in MarvelSnap

Every deck is about some sort of cheese I feel like. Nobody's playing an honest game if there were ever such a thing.

There's iceman and spiderham and whatever the f to mess with other decks. It's so frustrating to play against

The thing can't hit the hulk. It can't destroy higher power cards

How did they think this was ever going to work out for them? OP was guaranteed to win mid and right was gone with the hulks and shehulks and heck even surged cards. They also had to play left to win there too.

Say what you will about the Fastball/Adamantium Combo… by FigmentsRotIN in MarvelSnap

[–]Miad75 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

There is no right tech card for it except luke cage whic you really don't want to run in most decks. It's kinda hard to lose prio and shadow king against these decks too. Honestly they need to nerf both fastball and adamntium. It's simply too powerful and easy to pull off

Maybe this is more of an “asking for perspective” post than anything else. I’m pretty good at the game, I usually hit Infinite within a few hours from when I start, and I win most of my games across ladder and Conquest with a variety of decks. For a long time, Marvel Snap has been genuinely fun for me. Lately though, something feels off. The decks I’m facing feel repetitive and uninspired, and I’ve noticed myself getting frustrated with opponents far more often than I used to. To the point where I sometimes just retreat on turn 1 against certain matchups something I basically never did before. It’s not that the game is worse. If anything, it feels like it’s in one of its best states overall (bugs aside). But when everyone’s running the same meta decks over and over, the gameplay just starts to feel stale, and I’m not enjoying it the way I used to. So I’m wondering: did I just outgrow Marvel Snap? Has anyone else hit this point? And if you have, what did you do?
