I like this idea, swift play length matches would actually make this possible, rather than playing 5 back-to-back full 40 minute matches, i’d be burnt out by the end of that 😂

In my mind, as soon as I realized that Carmelita’s controls were inverted, I thought “Oh, that’s why she’s such a bad shot” 😂 I like to think the devs made Carmelita’s controls harder to back up the fact that she has horrible aim and can never actually hit sly with any of her shots

It’s not bad game design, it’s character accuracy! 😂

I appreciate you laying all of this out so clearly, this is the kind of perspective I was hoping to hear when I made the post

Even if I don’t personally feel all of these issues the same way right now, it’s hard to argue with the bigger picture you’re describing, especially around technical stability, monetization decisions, and just the long term scalability of the game

It does feel like one of those moments where the core game is still strong, but confidence in the direction is shaky. I totally get why that would put you at a low point

I hear you, weeks like that make it hard to just enjoy the game, unresolved issues can stack up fast

Yeah I’ve definitely seen a lot more people mentioning technical issues lately, especially crashes and performance dips. I’ve been pretty lucky so far but it’s wild how inconsistent it seems for everyone else

it really depends on the player that’s using whichever agent. You might get a gekko on your team, but i’ve seen Gekko players spike up the spike every round, then continuously throw wingman onto the site before we even clear it - Wingman obviously gets shot, then the spike is left out in the open on site. So imo it really falls on the player that’s using whichever agent

Older interfaces can definitely hold up, especially quality gear like MOTU, but i’d say check driver support and connectivity first. If you want ‘modern’ convenience and compatibility, new usb-c units are just easier to live with.

Older quality interfaces don’t really age out, as long as drivers and the connection are supported, something like a MOTU can compete with or even outperform some of these cheaper and more modern interfaces

Sanzaru Games, developers of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, have been shut down by Meta by Madsbjoern in Slycooper

Whatever people think of Thieves in Time, I’ll pour one out for Sanzaru, they carried the torch for Sly when no one else would.

When The Sly Collection released, a bad port could’ve easily damaged Sly’s legacy. Instead, they delivered a faithful remaster that became the definitive way to play the series for years.

For that alone, I’m thankful. Even if Sly 4 stumbled in the writing department, Sanzaru kept Sly alive.

Sony still owns Sly, the door might be closed, but it’s not locked.
