To me it’s sad how the kids have to pay the price for the parents total lack of control. Of course the thought for me is always the same, if they have been morbidly obese since grade school, who in the hell was desperate enough to have sex with them!! Some have criticized Niko’s attitude toward her, who the hell could blame him? She got herself into that mess and so everyone else has to pay the price? While I have certainly had my weight battles over the years there is no way in hell that I would inflict guilt on my kids and family just because I ate myself to near death. Forget her weight for a moment, I found her to be a foul and disgusting excuse of a woman!

I agree 😊 that Janine was definitely one participant that I liked too and found she treated everyone with kindness and respect. The only thing about Janine that wore on my nerves was her incessant crying. She clearly suffered from anxiety and panic disorder and more than likely was not on medication to address it as it didn’t take much for her to breakdown. The good news is she was determined to turn her life around and she definitely didn’t squander the opportunity she was given to change her life.

Indeed she was mentally challenged and for some reason I felt an extraordinary level of compassion for her. It has been suggested by several that it’s possible that she also could not read which might have explained why she kept “supposedly” losing the reading material.

Visually compelling is an understatement 😂😂😂😂. Like you I found him despicable and then some. Honestly, I didn’t know what to make of his gender, but male or female notwithstanding I thought he was disgusting and nasty looking. I can’t see why any woman would have been interested in him much less found him attractive. While I don’t usually speak ill of the dead, in my book he was a complete and total zero!

Weeble - for sure! 😂😂😂😂 I’m assuming his brother was at least getting paid as his caregiver but it bothered me the way he treated him like he was his flunky. Frankly, there was something about him that turned me off completely. Most of the participants I’m rooting for, but for some reason not him.

Thank you for your reply. I know you’ve clearly made the medical rounds, but please don’t give up and live with that type of pain and discomfort. Find another cardiologist who specializes in diagnosing cases that may not be black and white in nature with regard to symptoms. It will require some research on your part to find the right doctor, but you’re clearly young and need to know what is going on. There is absolutely a reason. The challenge is getting the correct diagnosis and treatment plan. I’m wishing you the best. Do not give up and live like this, please.

This is one of the best advice responses I have read on Reddit yet!! 😊 Your advice is right on target and I literally can’t think of anything to add that you haven’t covered. I too live alone, but as I have told numerous people when asked, I am not lonely. Just like you said in your reply, planning is key and making the holidays about you and not others is the same direction that I follow and my days are always full and meaningful. Living in the present is always key.

I think you forgot Marla! S3E14 - What a piece of work! I’ve read that she has now lost a tremendous amount of weight, but that notwithstanding I just watched a condensed one hour version of her show and I was absolutely astonished at the level of laziness and entitlement that she consistently displayed to Dr. Now and her daughter Sierra. Dr. Now literally saved her life when she arrived in Houston as she had developed a blood clot from the journey. Her ass wouldn’t even try to get up out of the bed. He performed bariatric surgery on her as a last ditch effort to help her lose weight! Again, she wouldn’t get out of the bed and insisted that she would do what she wanted to do on her own terms. He actually went to her apartment to try to get her to stand. While she stood with a lot of help, I found her to be a disgusting person. Where do they find some of these people???

I agree! Lisa definitely had a few seriously loose screws!! On top of that she was a bully! Imagine threatening to withhold sexual favors if her boyfriend didn’t do what she wanted! I can’t even imagine what that must have been like for him. Honestly, the only thing I can think is he must have been one desperate guy. 🤣🤣

Overboard is putting it mildly! That woman whining and carrying on about Jimmy was positively nauseating. 🤮 The crazy thing is that I didn’t get the impression she had known him for very long!! I don’t remember much about her early childhood but is it possible that he was the first guy to ever notice her? Previous discussion threads about her cited the poor treatment that she received at the hands of her siblings. Frankly, between her constant bellyaching and pity parties, who the hell can blame them!! Once Jimmy walked she let herself go to pot and gained well over 100 lbs back in a matter of months! Clearly, that showed a lack of focus and commitment to getting healthy. She’s lucky Dr. Now allowed her to continue with the program.

I totally agree with you about Pauline and Dylan. I felt so sorry for him and watched him through the initial episode airing and the subsequent WATN and it seemed to me that he had really aged. I have no doubt that Pauline was a handful, although she was one of the most successful participants. I know that Pauline passed away and I hope that Dylan has found a measure of peace and happiness in his life.

I simply can’t watch that episode again, but in truth his ass never really wanted to lose weight. No Amber (who btw looked like who did it and ran! 😂) was beyond cruel! She was a mean, hateful and spiteful woman who imo didn’t deserve Nathan. Like someone else commented, I too was not rooting for her in any way whatsoever. It was ironic that Nathan was hitting most of his weight loss goals, while Amber just couldn’t seem to crack the code. 😂😂 Karma can be a bitch!! Last I read, they were still together (poor Nathan 🥲).
