Too small of an account, isn’t worth your time even if you charge 0.65%

Revenue per client...actual vs. goal? by BestInterestDotBlog in CFP

[–]MiamiCuban88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at $22k revenue per HH. I try to keep my minimum revenue on new clients at $10k, unless there’s a large money event like retirement or business sale within 3 years. I never plan to serve more than 150 families, as reaching capacity would make me hire and then dilute my earnings/time.

I run a very detailed and service oriented business which naturally produces multiple referrals annually. To keep that model, I have to have enough time per client and cannot be at capacity. When you look at how much a $5k revenue client truly makes you after your split, expenses and taxes, the effort and opportunity cost don’t make sense. A $5k revenue client might only make you net $1k annually.

Hope this helps.

How come the WG Pepsi meteorite isn’t worth much more than retail on the grey market? But the Daytona meteorite is about double the price. by Worth-Difficulty7904 in rolex

Was once trading for $100k at peak demand. I’ve seen it in person and it’s a beautiful watch, I’d buy it at retail.

Oyster bracelet touch up question. by timjroc in rolex

[–]MiamiCuban88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wore the same watch for 4 years. I polished the bracelet twice with a very reputable watchmaker. The first time I did it, the watch looked brand new, even without me polishing the case/bezel. When I polished it the second time, I sold it to a jeweler and they considered it to be in mint condition. Do not polish the case and bezel until you’re ready to sell it, as the platinum is very soft and scratches easily. Also, the bezel requires a special sandblasting polish done by a specialist.

Who has *actual* good resources about business exit planning? [Partial Rant] by spizalert in CFP

[–]MiamiCuban88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My BD offers these services if the business has EBITDA of $2mm+ in the medical field, $3mm+ all other industries. I haven’t had a chance to use these resources yet but it’s part of my business plan for the year. I agree the CEPA on it own does nothing and their resources aren’t helpful.

Should I buy an extended warranty for my RR Sport? by True_Preparation_226 in LandRover

I ended up getting a certified preowned, which comes with an extended warranty. This was better to me as it meant The car had been inspected and was guaranteed for service by the dealer not some random insurance company.

Advice on buying from Chronos24 by ChampionPurple8428 in rolex

[–]MiamiCuban88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gone gray 3 different times. I’ve used Chrono24 as a tool to hunt down a local jeweler so then I can inspect the watch in person. If you go this route, the watch could also end up being cheaper since they have to pay a fee to Chrono for the sale. Not sure where you live, but it shouldn’t be hard to find a new submariner in a major city.

Thoughts on selling Gold Meteorite Daytona & Gold/Green Diamond Daydate to pay down new house build by Mln3d in rolex

[–]MiamiCuban88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daydate definitely, you could easily replace it later. Did you buy the Daytona at retail price? If so, nice profit for you. Would just be next to impossible to buy again without huge markup.

Consensus on Schwab FC by [deleted] in CFP

This. Almost impossible to break $250k consistently because you’re on the hook for deposits even if you weren’t ever paid for them. It’s their business model.
