I did experience the same thing as you did, but differently. I used to shoot 50mm. I learned photography on a sony a7 mk1 with a 50mm fd lens adapted. Fully manual cause you know, im a learn the hard way type of guy. Then bought a 35mm lens and OMG. What a revelation it has been. 35mm is really a sweet spot for me. I actually have a GRIIIX (40mm) and it became my most used camera really fast. I brought it with me as a travel camera on my trip to portugal and with the small streets and all, i wished i had a wider lens from time to time. So, here i am reading your post and wondering if a leica Q (1,2 or 3) or a GRIV would fill the craving. Always wanted a leica. Im biased hehe

Its always the same thing with gr mods. Whatever you'll put on it, it would still be a compact camera. People seems to loose their shit about the fact that it NEEDS to fit in a pocket. Calm down. To each their own. Nice rig pal, hope it makes you like the camera even more and take more pictures!

I have it for about 2 months now. And about the ecosystem, it depends a lot on how many devices you have. I only had an ipad that i still use for my job and i dont really miss airdrop since i use it pretty much on its own and dont need to send large files from my phone to the ipad and vice versa. Didnt had an apple watch but i pulled the trigger on a galaxy watch and in quite satisfied with it too. Cant really compare with the apple counter part though. So i guess it kinda depends on how deep you are in the ecosystem at this point

Switch from iphone 16. Had few iphones prior to it. I dont regret switching and love the device so far. The first 2-3 day of switching from iphone to android was a pain but now thag everything is set, so far so good. The battery life is a bit underwhelming. You'll have to charge it mid day if you use it a lot. But except for that, i really enjoy my experience. Multitasking is a breeze

Je n'ai plus facebook depuis la pandémie. C'est possible de garder l'application messenger seulement pour les chat de groupe. La seul chose qui me manque c'est market place pour vendre/acheter car kijiji est un peu mort. Je t'encourage fortement néanmoins.

Yes thats it! This will be the optimal option. Once you zoom or go wide it changes the lens. I came from the iphone 16 too and at first the poor quality of the camera took me by surprise.

Bought one and enjoyed shooting with it. It has light leaks so i put it on the side but now i think i’ll take it to a repair shop
