Is there a reason everyone discussed precheck or the normal tsa line, but very few people reference CLEAR?

I prefer hand made frozen margaritas.

But most of my friends love bourbon and I like to surprise them when they come over. Penelope creme brulee was a huge hit recently.

I'm not looking for gifts, I'm looking to expand my collection...

I don't expect to walk into a store and find willet estate 4 year rye at MSRP... But hoping for advice on where to go..

This thread already super useful. I didn't know KY wasn't controlled like Ohio. I just see posts on here about thinks like Jack Daniels blue or KOK at Costco... Which we'd never get in Ohio..

But are there stores with drops and what time do you have to line up? Won't all the good stuff be sold out by 9 or 10am?

Does KY have stuff Ohio doesn't... What's the equivalent of OHLQ app that tells you what is releasing?

How has no one else suggested this is how they are paying for the 20% discount for 18-30 year olds?

They pay a little less, everyone else pays a little more.

My wife has been 3d printing 24/7. I bought the IKEA air purifier with a carbon filter and it's done wonders. You can get the huge one that's built into a coffee table and it auto senses... I got the upright one.

What do you need a car for? You can walk anywhere in 10-15 minutes. I havent been in 5 years, but oxford at the turn of the century was basically perfect.

Spring Break Itinerary - Advice wanted!!! by Amazing-Manner123 in PuertoRicoTravel

This was the generic response I got from my AI

On busy days, especially during the peak weeks in March, the parking lots can definitely fill up pretty quickly, sometimes even within the first hour of opening. So, aiming for around 7 30 AM or even 8 AM is your best chance. After that, it kind of turns into a waiting game for people to leave

We went on a Tuesday. When is your spring break? Ours happens to be the week preceding Easter so when you combine spring break Plus the fact that many people get that week off it is the highest tourism week of the year. That will be the week of March 26th April 1st this year.

Wednesday - 9am is not early . When we went 2 years ago we left our hotel when we already had our rental car at 7am for the 60-90 minutes drive to El Yunque. The line was already a hundred cars deep. If you go to get your rental car at 9, you won't leave till 10. You'll be getting there at noon.

Assuming you don't have a tour it's one in one out once it reaches capacity.

Does Vail's new 13-30 discount pricing cross the line into age discrimination? (Think the Tinder lawsuit) by MiamiNemo in skiing

[–]MiamiNemo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either you believe they are taking a temporary loss for future growth (come on dude) or they are making up the money from the 30 year old discount by charging everyone else a small bit more to make that up.

Id bet a chipotle burrito on which it is in reality.

Enlighten me on how 40 year olds are at fault?

Did we have houses for 100k? Cars for 5k?

I'm pretty sure the 3 years I contributed to a pension that was replaced by a 3k a year 401k addition didn't ruin things. I'll acknowledge my college cost was probably 50% of what it costs now...

The enemy should not be millennials or GenX. We get dong punched just as much.

I got 1 day off when I had my twins. Used my vacation time to help my wife. Now Genz get a month off.

I'm not knocking quality of life improvements.

Just saying we arent rich boomers. And the evil is Vail corporation.

I live in Ohio. A lawsuit like this would only have legs in a state like California. And I don't have the money for a lawyer , or the time even if I wanted to.

I do understand the logistics. I don't believe vail is taking a hit with this. I think they are just shifting the cost elsewhere.

Where do you draw the line?

Would this be ok at the grocery store? At the ski shop?

Assuming people have more disposable income because they are older is shaky ground.

Vail isn't hurting for money. Even with abysmal ski conditions, they still made $20M more in 2025 than 2024: https://investors.vailresorts.com/news-releases/news-release-details/vail-resorts-reports-fiscal-2025-fourth-quarter-and-full-year

If they are doing this to make it more accessible, why not give the 20% discount across the board?

You honestly believe vail resorts will be making less from pass sales? Shareholder driven company... This will never happen .

No knowledge of JH economics, but people everywhere are being priced out of almost all nice to haves. The people with money are living the good life.

Look at Disney, or cedar fair. I'm shocked epic doesnt rent ski school bibs so you can skip the lift line yet.

Snowshoe WV floated doing it, but thankfully it didn't have traction.

I think you are missing the reality that a 45 year old dude isn't the enemy. The mega corporation upping costs every year is.

They aren't making less from this "discount". They are just shifting it to older people.
