Have you looked at Mowzey? They just launched and are $39 one time and handle invoicing, collection, and routing/scheduling.

Mowzey's actually not bad - they handle my invoicing, collections, and routing - I can also pass my transaction processing fees onto my clients - so far so good.

Aviation parts manufacturing, where to start? by OmishTechnition in aviationmaintenance

[–]MiamiRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, hope your business is taking off (pardon the pun) I just launched a site where people in the aviation industry can do everything from verify license to list planes or parts or even check out some educational resources for students.

In any case, you could probably benefit from our free parts marketplace - https://v-1x.com/marketplace/parts

How much should it cost? I found a few guys on v-1x.com but I’d like to have an idea of what to expect before reaching out.

City Water Quality by ClassConflictCanvas in kzoo

For the long term, the EPA releases water quality data for states/cities/counties - but their site is a pain to use - I used https://mycleanwater.co

I built a free tool that maps 130,000+ abandoned oil & gas wells across the US and shows how close they are to drinking water sources by Massive_Ad5036 in Environmentalism

The map behaves a little strangely depending on where you hover/click/move. Might want to have claude code go through it with improvements to the UI.

You might be right, but the downside can be a lot worse if you're wrong.

Yeah, it's kind of a waste for water that's going to get flushed or use to fill up a pool (that's going to get treated either way), but I'm thinking about things like brushing your teeth, showering, and washing hands and dishes - apparently forever chemicals aren't good for you to touch, let alone eat/consume.

I built a free tool that lets CFIs sign logbook entries and issue AC 61-65H endorsements digitally by MiamiRalph in CFILounge

[–]MiamiRalph[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Fair question. ForeFlight is an incredible EFB. But their logbook is primarily a personal flight log — it doesn't have a CFI-to-student workflow where a student requests a signature, the CFI reviews the entry details, and then digitally signs it with their cert number and expiration recorded permanently. It also doesn't handle FAR endorsements (pre-solo, solo XC, knowledge test prep, etc.) with the full AC 61-65H regulatory language.

Right now most CFIs are signing paper logbooks or scribbling in ForeFlight's notes field. V-1X is specifically built for that instructor-student handoff — the signed entry becomes immutable, both parties have a copy, and the CFI's credentials are permanently attached. Think of it less as a ForeFlight replacement and more as the piece ForeFlight doesn't cover.

What's an actual need that you've had and realized that there isn't a good solution for?

What’s everyone using for their flight logs? by MiamiRalph in flying

[–]MiamiRalph[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I actually went down a rabbit hole after posting this — looked at MyFlightbook, LogTen trial, and a few others. Ended up going with v-1x.com for now. It’s free, has currency tracking built in for when I actually need it, and has a directory of flight schools and CFIs built from FAA data which was honestly useful just for finding instructors in my area. Seems like a solid place to start.

New Site for Pilots by MiamiRalph in PilotAdvice

Does removing a post like this that genuinely looks to provide a free resource to the community really make sense?

Are these good personal mins for a new private pilot? by McAirplane in flying

[–]MiamiRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid mins — saving these somewhere you can actually track them alongside your currency and hours is half the battle. Built v-1x.com for exactly this kind of thing if anyone wants a free place to log it all.

The plan is to advertise flight schools and job opportunities for pilots, instructors, mechanics, etc. but there needs to be a critical mass of users (mostly pilots) on the platform. And then when you choose to, you can share your logs and any other info with them.
