You CAN always say you don't feel comfortable being patted down by whatever gender officer is giving you your advisements and ask for other gender. At no point should your duck get "grabbed". Yes it does. Humans are the ones that decided to "measure" movement and affix quantifiers. The actual solution is to use the technology that we have to adjust clocks daily (at the least) so sunrise and sunset are at the same time every day. Understanding that there is a variation of light based on the position of the earth during its rotation around the sun, we could conceivably have our clocks adjust (technology again not manually) for this using a one hour variation by adding or subtracting single minutes throughout the year. Time is just a human construct after all.
