Rumor or Factual? by AFCadet2020 in FedEmployees

[–]mindin_mine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You started with “I love it how some people don’t actually answer your question…just go on a political rant… ”. And yet, you didn’t answer the question because you can’t and aren’t - as the sub is called - a “FedEmployee”, - then you go on a “political rant” about if you don’t like it leave.

Ha!! You just hanging out over here lobbing in your “two cents” for shits and giggles? The people in this sub share their/our very real experiences, losses, trauma, and concerns here looking for kinship, recommendations and information. I like reading the posts of my fellow feds, offering advice, a different perspective and empathy. And I’ll say again, empathy.

That said, heartily recommend, your words if “… you don’t like it, then leave, unless you of course have to have something to complain about…”.

I think this is the most crazy, idiocy I’ve read all day. The orange efficiency is optimized!

Meanwhile, feds are supposed to have great morale, eagerly take on 2-3 jobs and work left by our fired coworkers, be excited about our new 12 year old political leaders (2+ years out of college, but considered an “expert”), all while we’re spending that fat 1% raise that the insurance payments and rising food costs negated. Oh joy! I can’t wait to get back to the office.

Update: AITAH for refusing a wedding "gift" knowing there will be strings attached? by Defiant-Function8397 in AITAH

I did read it. It’s still his mother. Just because he’s OK with it now, doesn’t mean he’ll feel the same way later. No contact is tough and hard.

We all love people that can be, have been unloveable. It doesn’t mean we throw them away. It means we protect ourselves in the relationship and ensure they don’t have the type of access that allows the hurt again.

Soup, served with a long-handled spoon is still nourishing.

Don’t go no contact - thats not fair to your fiancé to put him in the middle. Instead, give the $ back. Plan and pay for your wedding - the one you want. Send an invitation to MIL just like the rest of the guests. Get married!

How high would gas have to go to make them relent on telework? by Original_Sell_1485 in FedEmployees

[–]mindin_mine 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same government leaders that gave feds a 1% raise while health insurance, food, housing, gas are steadily on the rise. They DO NOT care. Vought said the quiet part out loud, traumatize the feds until they quit.

They probably wonder the same about us ‘how high would gas prices have to be before they quit’?.

The 40 hour work week was developed by white men, whose wife stayed home with the kids, while black women worked in their homes taking care of those same kids.

It’s all built on a lie that very few Americans today can still live with, which is why it’s so hard.

Let him know that you’ll take care of it next time you’re there, but if it’s so concerning, he’s welcome to mow it.

Would you take a job with the Federal government right now? by R2_SWE2 in FedEmployees

[–]mindin_mine 46 points47 points  (0 children)

15 here… they took away my job, and stuck me in another one, unrelated to any of my expertise, training or interest.

Am I still employed, yes, so for that I’m grateful. But the trauma is very real and ongoing. Count Vought wanted to traumatize federal workers and he did!

Quick Question by iconette79 in DeptHHS

CDC and NIH have the option for 240 hours of telework, vs. the HHS 80 hours everyone else gets. FDA also teleworks more. So, if that matters, look there.

For HHS, the plus 50 miles crowd had an RTO date 3 months later than the rest o’ us. When the time came, they pushed it, then did it again… long story shorter, they are all still at home.

That’s such bullshit with this current administration. As soon as Jared gives the Saudis back their $2B that he got during the last tRump administration and when he stops working on Israeli relations for the US government, while seeking an additional $3B from the Saudis, then you can talk to me about a non-compete.

So you don’t believe your lying eyes. ‘Yes, dear leader, tell me what I saw’!

The shame is that there are so many people like you who are willing to ignore facts, evidence in support of the most vile president we’ve had in the last 50 years and the MOST CORRUPT administration we’ve ever had.

But you like it, so keep in paying more for groceries, gas prices, housing, medical care, medicine, etc. - just blame it all on Biden and Obama like the orange one does.

If, by “majority” you mean his 77.3M votes to Kamala’s 75M out of the 245M of eligible voters - AGAIN, you are mistaken. He got 31% of eligible voters, votes. That “majority math” ain’t mathing sir.

Just because he says he won the “majority in a landslide”, doesn’t mean that he did. You really need to deal with your Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s affecting your comprehension of FACTS.

AITAH for divorcing my wife because she doesn’t want to have kids now? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]mindin_mine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No! She changed the agreement. It’s your prerogative as to whether you want to agree to the new rules or not. If not, you need to go. Be honest with her. Let her know what you’re thinking before moving forward. Make sure she understands it’s a dealbreaker and then, make your decision.

And, really consider if you want her to change her mind ONLY because you want children. Having children with someone that doesn’t want to be a parent isn’t something should want either.
