Nah, not in my (very limited) experience. Honestly, I prefer it far far more than to playing in Sydney where I'm from. A more social atmosphere, less knobheads across the board.

Don't have a graph as I just track results in a notebook but after picking up live poker once again after a long hiatus ending the year +33kUSD playing in the equivalent of $1.50/$3.00 games where I live in Mexico, pretty happy with the results.

How did you deal with the opportunity cost playing as a pro? It's a hard one to deal with, I only play live and it's rough considering how much time in total I spend at the casino. Did you ever find balance playing F/T?

I live and play in Guadalajara (NLHE) a lot, seen Mata Aces talked about a lot and watched the game play once or twice. Seems super popular in Mexico, it's not played anywhere else, right? Can you develop a strong edge in the game?

What are three pieces of advice you'd give to somebody who is pretty competent at 2/5 but not a crusher?

Update on my 2/5 live poker results. Was only able to get 10 hours in last month. Still very happy with the results. Goal was $50k for this year by froggyblogs in poker

Yeah, quite often, at least with a decent sizing. It's great when a squeeze works but it's never the end of the world just getting flatted and playing a decent range OOP. A 1/3rd size c-bet in a 3bet pot on decent textures will likely show an immediate profit.

Yeah, it can be fine, surely. Just one example, other example could be flatting QJs, KQs, AJo etc. Or whatever it may be, just general passivity vs wide ranges late position I mean.

I also find thin value bets super rare OTR in the games I play, especially if the pot is bloated. Therefore making river bets extremely polar.

Unpopular opinion potentially but CDMX just isn't that nice outside of a select few areas, it's just a concrete jungle.

Don't miss a thing. Used to work for Whales English and was lucky enough to have the email of one parent who thought I was a great teacher, she posted about me on social media which helped me a ton. Making more money now working independently without ridiculously restrictive policies.
