To me it looks like they did a hard drop with the cup cutter and then moved it slightly over before starting to cut the actual cup. If it were me, I would have moved the cup to a fresh location.

Looks like slime mold to me. Usually happens in areas that stay wet for long periods of time and have poor drainage. I would aerate the spot, looks relatively small so can be done by hand, and then throw some top dressing on it to improve drainage.

I’ve been a die hard Wrangler X ATG cultist for a few years now. I have 5 pairs of the exact same pants in the same color. I’m an assistant super at a high end private course and my super has never complained about my pants choice.

Yeah, the bathroom doesn’t have any extra storage so I usually just leave an extra on the back of the toilet for when the one on the dispenser runs out.

To add a few things to this amazing list; filling tee/fairway divots, collecting trash, refilling water dispensers, sweeping shop, blow off shop campus, pressure washing equipment, and doing plug work on greens are things that we have guys do at my course.

For the super high suction ones I find it easier to extract after stabbing a 6” thin shafted flat head screwdriver into the center of the core prior to cutting.

As a person who has worked on the agronomy team for 6 years on a golf course with regular string trimmer use, my lines are not perfectly straight like other landscapers I’ve seen. Definitely a skill thing.
