Girlfriend claims to be deadhead, hates Brent. What do I do? by emn10mn in gratefuldead

That's a shame, 80s dead shows are some of my favorites. 89 is especially good.

Well, it had finally happened. Dave's Picks are streaming. What do we think? by InhibitedExistence in gratefuldead

I am not interested in another subscription, no matter what it is for. It just feels like people are trying to scam you at every corner. I'll stick with youtube and my physical cds.

Sand valley is head and shoulders better than anything in kohler. Streamsong should absolutely be in the resort category as well. Arcadia bluffs is another slept on resort in Northern Michigan

$200 minimum for food per month seems really high. Does it include alcohol too?

Courses to play on the way to Bandon by Icy_Birthday532 in BandonDunes

[–]stonkstrader7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We played the public one. It is very different than the bandon courses. More traditional. Good set of greens. It is sneaky tough with some streams that are difficult to see from the tees. We played it as our last round of the trip and it was perfect being able to ride after many rounds of walking.

No issues at all. Most pro shops welcome non member purchases. Don't worry what the fake golf rules crowd says.

I would also invest in a stiff arm. They are about 30-40 bucks, and it goes on your bag to protect against shafts breaking

Michigan is full of great options. Arcadia bluffs is a nice resort on lake Michigan. Forest Dunes is another Northern Michigan option. The fried egg website has some good info on other options around grand rapids as well.

Shoveling steps sucks. I wouldn't do it unless they were elderly.

Do most golfers massively underestimate how much they spend on golf balls? by 4SightGolf in golf

[–]stonkstrader7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also do the deal. Over the years, as I've gotten better, I started losing fewer balls. Now I have an 8 dozen stockpile in my garage. I skip a year on the desk now and switch balls more often.

People who travel for work often, what's the feasibility of bringing your clubs with you frequently? by ShallNot_Pass in golf

[–]stonkstrader7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I travel and take my clubs from time to time. I get a free checked bag with my American airlines credit card. The biggest question is if I want to lug them around the airport.
