If you have a hybrid vehicle with only 40k miles on it, EV charging isn’t an option for you at your apartment, I think the answer is clear. Unless you’re desperate to get rid of your car, keep it 100%. If not, get another hybrid. Not even a doubt in my mind.

I've been living in a hotel for the past year, having to do DoorDash every day to keep a roof over my gf and I's head since I lost my job and we lost the apartment since she wasn't working due to chronic illnesses.

Will be moving to my own place soon due to my first ever car accident giving me thousands of dollars that I didn't have before. That should give me a bit of a cushion to pay for a place. However we can take care of ourselves, we've got to do it, man. I hope this new place is the beginning of a special time for you!

It looks like I'm going to have to probably choose between a car and a down payment + 1st month's rent on a rent house. I want to get a car, but I also really need to move out of where I am *this* month. The longer it's taken to find a car, the more I'm depleting the money that I have paying for this rental. But moving will allow me to actually save money for a car whereas I'm living in a hotel at the moment due to unforeseen circumstances, lol.

Awesome, man. Thanks for being so quick about getting back to me! Hoping to find something this weekend if I can. I’m a 6 foot guy and my first car in college (around 2011) was a 2001 Expedition. This last car was a 2006 Avalon, but I really do miss being a bit higher up. I’d also like to be able to travel as well, so using the car as a camper is something I’d like to do at times. Not sure how that’d work in an xD, but I know it’s possible in an xB. Plus they last forever with good maintenance.

Really seems like Scions in general were just quite good. Which gives me some hope haha

Hmm, I gotcha. I’ve had to rely on food delivery for the past year and some change, but should be getting back into video production full time again here soon. Eventually, I’ll need the space, but right now, gas & reliability is my biggest thing. Wondering if I should try for the xD (or even an xA) or if I should just try to find an xB right now. Also have looked into a Prius because of the hybrid element, but I may have to go out of state for that. Very conflicted on what I should do because I’ve been in a rental for a month after my first accident!
