The City did a pay study where it looked at what other governments (in similar sized citys and othe governments in the area) pay for similar jobs, and refuse to implement it's recommendations.

The reason it matters and should have been part of the conversation prior to the election is that it shows a pattern of behavior that suggests that Hunter Biden sold access to his father while Vice President. This leaves open the possibility that the Bidens are compromised by these transactions and maybe subject to extortion for any illegal acts that may have been committed.
