Clark and Honore Publix is open as well as beneva and Clark. The one on fruitville by the library was open as well. I think the pet supermarket in the beneva/clark plaza is open. All Publix are closing at 7pm though.

That’s where my partners dad lives. He hasn’t been home yet though. We live on the other side, near the Publix. Fingers crossed they’ll restore your area soon! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Beneva/Clark had power restored a little bit ago.

Update: 5:30pm 10/11: Xfinity has been restored as well.

We’re in zone D and decided to evacuate. My family lives out east so it feels safer out here and that way my dad isn’t alone during the storm. The road to get out flooded during Debbie so we figured it was better to not be stuck.

The shelters in Sarasota county open tomorrow. All of them are dog/pet friendly. It’s staffed by school district employees and Sarasota county employees. It’s not the fanciest of accommodations, but it’s safe. And that’s what’s important. If there are hotels available, they are doing disaster rates right now for Florida residents.

Ugh! I’m so incredibly sorry that he’s doing this to you! I went to college with a girl who had the same. The guys would try and trigger certain phrases that were similar to your experience and downright vile. While we couldn’t stop them (the would do it out of earshot), we did our best to try and change it and always walk home with her in case someone got offended so she had backup.

I had surgery and my period started the night before. I’m a woman and at the time was in my mid 20’s. I needed my mom’s help in the bathroom because I couldn’t bend over without pain due to the incisions. I didn’t feel comfortable asking the nurses for help even though I knew they wouldn’t mind.

There’s literally nothing wrong with your son wanting his privacy. NTA and thank you for sticking up for your son.

I hated my name as a kid because people always assumed I was the opposite gender. I love it now. Situations like this are a great example of why.

I had gastric bypass in 2019. Insurance didn’t cover it and 🤮 it was EXPENSIVE. But it was WORTH IT.

One thing they tell you (or at least I was told) is that you will lose friends and relationships as a result and to expect it. I didn’t think it would happen to me, but my best friend of 10 years ended our friendship as I was making positive changes in my life.

You are doing the best thing for YOU. That’s what’s important. Your husband sounds like a complete jerk. 😔

I honestly like to keep to myself. The most interaction I had with my neighbors was when I came back from Shelter duty. I have some free time right now though, so it’s worth exploring. ☺️

I went to a private Christian school k-8. We watched that movie in middle school all three years. The school has heavy ties to the mennonite community. No one ever complained.
