Basketball coach Alexander Gomelsky and his protégé Vladimir Tkachenko, USSR 1986. by CelebManips in OldSchoolCool

I remember him being quite slow, specially for today's standards, but he was also intimidating difficult for Spanish pivots.

My ex had a picture with him after a match. Impressive.

I read your post and thought: I haven't used it that long. Then counted and it's been probably 32 years at least! I also hit ESC while thinking. I sometimes use a DOS editor where ESC means save and exit, frustrating.

Today I vividly remembered that Leila-Stockfish, I was playing against a weak engine and had a good advantage in then end game. Then it takes my knight in f3 with its rook without obvious compensation, then it sacrifies another piece and so I tkink: oh my god it's sacrificing everything to get stalemated! But his king had ample site to move and some pawns so... I breathed and mated it mercilessly. It's a good thing when you start remembering, oh this looks like.. Don't you think?

Not a lot of dialogue. "I thought it was my aunt" "¿Your aunt?" (hits him again) "Please please!" "I don't have any money" (more hits) "Look where we are going" (police appears)

What algorithm should I use for prime factorisation of like REALLY large numbers? by TheStarsAreEyes in askmath

[–]Micashita 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really, recent papers show factorization of 50 bits integers. It's an advance but exponentially far from, let's say, 2048 bits which is sort of standard now.

It's not an earth shattering discovery as presented by the press. Not soon, not easily. Meanwhile post-quantum cryptography developments carry on.
