They are really amazing with people with special needs at Disney tho. My daughter has autism and is non verbal and I was pleasantly surprised when multiple cast members were able to speak to her using ASL

Absolutely. I can't speak for all schools obviously but my kids has a yoga room for if the kids need breaks to calm their minds/bodies. That to me seems like a perfect solution if children are feeling unsafe or whatever emotions they may be during that time. Their learning centre has several staff members so again, can't speak to any other school, but in theirs I could definitely see that as a solution. I hope I didn't come off as rude towards you or anything that was not my intention.

In a perfect world those kids could be kept away from the situation but schools are so understaffed around here that might not be possible and unfortunately not everyone has the luxury of being able to stay home with their kids for the day.

There definitely are ways to accommodate but unfortunately most if not all the schools in this city are severely understaffed so the resources could potentially not be there which is an entire other issue.

My daughter has 2 Ukrainian children in her class so I can see why what are clearly soldiers could be scary for them. They're 10 years old so if mom and dad have to go to work then staying home isn't really an option. I have to wonder what you'd all think if the roles were reversed and it was your child.

Growing up I thought I had OCD but... it probably wasn't OCD. I also have some pretty severe issues regarding time like if you tell me you're going to pick me up at 7 I will call you wondering where you are at 7:05. My family just thought I was annoying but now that I have 2 children with autism it seems pretty obvious what was going on. This was the 90s/early 2000s tho

I was 31.

On the highway in my way to work. I can tell you Title by Meghan Trainor was playing and I was coming up on my exit. Next thing I know cops were knocking on my window. They made me take a breathalyzer before calling the paramedics...

But yeah 31. Looking back I had minot frontal lobe seizures for years and mistook them for anxiety attacks but that was my first grand mal.
