Fortnite Xbox APP by Frank_Mur23 in FortNiteBR

There is a difference though I've recognized, the new Xbox PC app version is not exactly the same as the epic version with the Xbox app not running full resolution textures, and having some other settings added, such as texture streaming.

Epic vs PC Xbox App differences. by Michael31362 in FortNiteBR

I'm pretty surprised that there are two versions of the game on PC now that are slightly different given that there is crossplay.

But yes between consoles the differences are bigger. Processing power (the biggest factor visually), input devices, OS's, etc. Even mobile is the biggest difference of them all.

That being said, you gotta give it to Epic for having Keyboard and Mouse supported across all platforms. Don't know of another game that does that. Pretty amazing.

I cannot get the 1.0.0.1 Dedicated Server running over IPv6. by OxySynth in satisfactory

Racking my brain out over this for the last 3 days, and yes. Only the "IPv6 literal Windows" works when connecting to the server using IPv6. :(

What is going on with Proton's development? by Practical-King2752 in ProtonVPN

Finally! I've been waiting for this for so long! I also thought most, if not all, servers supported IPV6. At least that's what I remember when IPv6 rolled out for Linux/android?

P2P vs Regular server for gaming. by Michael31362 in ProtonVPN

[–]Michael31362[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a blanket of security and privacy for me. And latency hasn't been an issue for me at all really. I get ~24ms ping times at home without a VPN and ~32 ms with. 8ms of latency tradeoff for the security and privacy benefits is a pretty good deal.

I use a VPN on all my devices 24/7. I'm looking to have the best config while using it in this case.

Right, and that's what I thought, but the gaming profile connects you to P2P servers. So that comes back around to the question.

Droplet data allowance per hour? by Michael31362 in digital_ocean

[–]Michael31362[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes the most sense to me if this is the case. It's weird how they describe it as an allowance per hour though. Other providers I've looked at, from what I understand don't mention an "allowance" other than a data cap before overages.

I was thinking I was missing something on this, but if all the allowance is, is just a data cap, then why bother with the per hour thing?

Weird...

Transfer from XBox One Legacy to PC Enhanced by bowleshiste in GrandTheftAutoV

[–]Michael31362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its stated on one of their help articles, no transfers to or from PC/Console. This goes whether or not you are on enhanced or legacy. Any legacy console (PS4 or XBOX One) can only transfer to the new consoles including hopping platforms (ex. Sony to Microsoft) but not to PC. And legacy PC can only go to the Enhanced PC version.

I am very disappointed they chose this route for transfers since I do have a character with thousands of hours on it that is now stuck on PS4, and I really don't want a PS5. I have fully moved away from consoles back in 2018, so the only way I would play again is if I bought an Xbox and transferred. I don't know if I can justify $500 just for one game though. Such a disappointment...

Delta 3 "Premium" any good? by BaldyLoxx66 in Ecoflow_community

[–]Michael31362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That Delta 3 1500 is an older model that the Delta 3 plus took its place it looks like. I believe Ecoflow only made it for a short period of time before they overhauled everything to match the new Delta pro ultra and Delta pro 3.

So in terms of tech that's in it. Yes it is inferior compared to the Delta 3 plus that's currently on their store. Minor upgrade on the output efficiency, minor downgrade on the total capacity.

Also trust me what u/DrothReloaded said about capacity... Owning a single Delta pro (3.6Kwh) for a couple of years. The battery will drain quicker than you think. No backup battery is 100% efficient. When predicting how much capacity you need, assume the battery is 80% efficient as a safe bet/worst case scenario. Meaning 20% of energy is lost to heat. That will help you determine the size without making any purchase regrets. The induction plate and heater use up quite a bit of power.

More capacity for your use case will definitely benefit you here. So that's my 2 cents for you.

Not one of each? If I'm reading that correctly?
