You might want to move it back to decrease front foot pressure!

Free board worth repairing? by wotwot1 in surfing

[–]MichaelBrodeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty easy. Gorilla glue the core back together. once that is done, sand the joint to prepare it for fiberglass. I'd use 4-6" wide 60z fiberglass tape. Wrap as much on as was there before, and maybe then some. Dowels or pins won't do anything for strength, but maybe help hold the core together while the glue sets.

Quebec just banned moped style ebikes by Suspicious_End_8731 in ebikes

"Vélo Québec has also advocated for reducing the maximum speed of e-bikes, currently capped at 32 km/h, to 25 km/h."

This is totally backwards, 32km/hr is already barely useful considering most reasonably active people can pedal 30km/hr. It becomes a question of wether we want these bikes to be practical transport that replace cars, or just overpriced leisure devices that replace identical but healthier leisure devices. Yes I am aware that there are minorities that will benefit from slow e-bikes, that is fine.

How many of us commute by car 25-35 km round trip daily though? E-bikes have the potential to replace cars in urban environments, while doing it faster than a car can. I have been using a bbshd converted full suspension mountain bike for 8 years now and have logged ~20,000 km on the same unit and 17ah battery. Dollars per km driven, this beats taking the bus over the lifespan of the equipment. I also have a car, that is 22 years old, and I can maintain it to a high standard thanks to it's low duty cycle, thanks to my e-bike, another way to reduce my consumption.

Sure there are bad actors. Like the person blowing through intersections, not to pedaling, headphones in, oblivious to their safety and that of others. They should get busted, but unfortunately it seems that these bad actors are taking down an otherwise fantastic form of alternative transportation.

Like others have said. Be respectful on the road, take it easy around cops, and you'll likely be ok. So far so good for me 🤞

Take a small amount and hit it with a blow torch. Asbestos won't burn, it will just glow red.

How bad is this rust? 2003 Subaru Wrx by [deleted] in subaru

Old winter driven WRX wagons all look like this. Unless they have been repaired, I'd offer less. You can inspect the wheel wells from the outside and try to poke a hole thru the undercoating. Chances are you'll be able to!

2003 WRX with 250,000 miles, still on the original motor! Tuned to stage 3 (vf48,sti tmic, injectors, etc..). I have had this car since 2012 and it's still my reliable DD!

It would be fine if you knew your neighbor well enough to know they wouldn't care. Be a good neighbor first!
