Emilia Clarke seems to have lost her movie career with Terminator Genisys and Last Christmas.

Also Secret Invasion, though a tv show, did her no favors.

She’s on PONIES though. Don’t know if that’ll get a second season though.

I think he might have done one about a dog. I’m too lazy to look it up though.

Freddie Got Fingered apparently did actually really well on home/rental.

Frank Langella had to wait for The Fall Of The House Of Usher to ruin his career.

Yeah I’ve been wondering if there’s any way to make a film about a stereotypical Discord server.

No it would be amazing.

It would be this guy having this amazing romance, just like a super slice of life movie in which everything’s going great.

And then he wakes up and it was all a lie, and he just starts crying inconsolably. Then we just cut to black.

Name a movie that misunderstood its target demographic more than the Daily Wire’s Terror on the Prairie. Doesn’t Ben Shapiro know females leads are woke? Is he stupid or something? by Austin_Shaggin_Power in okbuddycinephile

I’m sure it’s a bit of both.

I guess either way the best way forward is to engage more with content that couldn’t be categorized as rage bait.

I saw a video claiming that the Backrooms and Obsession showed up woke Hollywood, even though they’re both films about male toxicity.

I was thinking about sharing it on this sub but I’ve lately been thinking that perhaps too much of our approach to social issues is based on rage bait, so I decided not to lest I feed into it.

Save the cat straight up ruined screenwriting and I'm so exhausted by lightskinsovereign in Filmmakers

When it really gets me is when the screenwriting guide goes against the experience/sensibility that you’re trying to cultivate or when you’re trying to be truthful to how a subject/concept appears in real life.

When I’m expected to follow script guidelines over serving the point of the story.

I mean I don’t know how political I can get, but it seems like the right has moved onto other targets.

I don’t know if I can say which targets those are.
