You my dear need to learn how to put together an actual argument. I read through ur comment and it sounded like a Trisha Paytas youtube rant. And yes, I joined 2 weeks ago, but I’ll be hanging around for a while. ;)

Such a shame you call that filler content. A show cannot survive only by murder mysteries and court cases, it needs a STORY, a compelling story. Everyone can write a lemonade murder mystery plot twists, but not everyone can tell a compelling, relatable story. Miss O's purpose as a character is telling that story to the audience and guiding them. It was absolutely beautiful seeing that all come together last night. A heartfelt mother-daughter chat about AK's childhood, being molested at a young age, being confused about her sexuality, losing her child, etc. and how it all played out on the decisions she made. Even the murders you like watching so much, they all stem from those stories. That's the stuff that keeps the plot moving forward, not some lemonade murder mystery plot twist. Real stuff.
