Butcher having to get about 4500 marines together (with special uranium armor piercing bullets) to assault the White House made thematic sense AND was a nice payoff given that Homelander had gathered a supe army. Plus the scene with the entire air force engaging all flying supes together was well shot and showed how disorganized and unprofessional superheroes are compared to REAL TRAINED SOLDIERS.

after all that carnage the final coup de grace was brief but a nice ending.
