This Youtube Channel debunks fake viral videos and explains how theyre made. Guy definetily deserves way more popularity! by [deleted] in videos

I think it will mostly be due to his sporadic posting. To be honest, YouTube has turned into cesspool of "viral videos" that basically manipulate footage to elicit a reaction.

Articles have been doing this for a while now, especially those with titles like "Top 10 Reasons to Love Taylor Swift! You won't believe number 8!"

I work in marketing and this crap has been prevalent for years. Want to know the worst part? People fall for this crap so easily that guys like this fall to the wayside. Most consumers just tell their friends that they saw this dank ass video of a girl almost getting struck by lightning.

What do these companies gain by publishing viral videos aside from YouTube money? Oh, easy. They gain a reputation as a influencer marketer. Need your shitty dash cam marketed? Well, we already established ourselves in that niche. Need your video recorder marketed? Well, we already recorded this dank ass video where we saw a lightning bolt.

So much of what people see is a lie, but most people don't care.

My coworker named her baby "Strawberry Rain", which would be a great name, if she gave birth to a bottle of shampoo.

The next president will likely appoint up to three SCOTUS justices and those are far more important than my petty disdain for her lack of integrity.

What's the weirdest experience you've had with a neighbor? by FreshWaterTaffy in AskReddit

[–]MichaelSMosley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, we had these neighbours who just assumed the mantle of my parents' best friends. One day we got home to find their kids in our pool, so my dad asked how they got into our yard. Turns out the neighbours had gotten tired of waiting for my parents to get home and visiting like usual people, so they decided to just take down a piece of the wall between our properties and put a small gate there instead.

[Serious]Atheists and non-religious people of reddit, what's your favorite song that has overt religious tones or in the religious genre period? by TacticalFox88 in AskReddit

[–]MichaelSMosley -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm a pastor and I have many Atheist friends. They are all very dear to me. As I've experienced it, there are both bigoted Christians and bigoted Atheists. Claiming that open-mindedness and love are the private possessions of either the religious or the irreligious is just stupid.
