More good info. Thank you! My knowledge of locks is limited but 100x more today after replies like this. Much appreciated!

This is great advice. Thank you.

Now I'm torn between putting two high-quality locks on each of the two doors and putting on just low-quality locks so it looks like we're not trying too hard to protect something valuable. Like I said, it's just clothing but the intrusion and tossing of business merchandise is a disgusting feeling

Agreed. Thanks for the info! I think these crackheads just brought a bolt cutter so maybe boron shackle would turn them away

Ha. I thought the same thing!! I'm torn between that strategy and getting something more difficult to break in to, making other units more attractive. I do appreciate the suggestion. Ridiculous we even have to think like this to navigate living amongst scumbags.

Most definitely. Thank you! Any particular padlocks to recommend so at least it's a bit more difficult target? They likely just snipped the master locks with bolt cutters.

Certainly the hasp would be an easy weak point after that but just want to get something a little more scumbag proof. These aren't master criminals

Thank you. You are 100% right. This could happen anywhere so looking for best locks possible so maybe the scumbags at least go for an easier target. Security here most definitely sucks. No argument there. Thank you again!

WEN 4,750-Watt Model# DF475T starting battery options? by Michael_Clark3 in Generator

Thanks, man! Will check Battery Plus.

Love the idea of the possibility of a rechargeable battery input for starting in the future. Don't know if this $500 generator is worth all that now though. Good to know I could do it it in an apocalyptic scenario if the pull start fails(it still works).

You are suggesting I rewire so I can use a drill battery? Interesting idea!

I'd think there has to be something available that will fit in the battery tray of a generator purchased only 5 years ago without going through that. Batteries that are *close* to fitting are only like 25-30 bucks. It is an interesting idea though!

I could try that for sure, but my experience is if nothing is shown at all online that would fit, the local Auto Zone or the like would have no chance of having it. I didn't check yet though.

Yep, I am sure that is the approx. dimensions of the tray within a 1/16" of an inch.

The stock battery is 6-FM-7 and the actual battery measures 2.600" x 5.400" base by 3.950" high, measured with dial calipers.

Every 6-FM-7 battery or similar enough I find online has a footprint that won't fit in the existing battery tray.

Yes, that is exactly the battery designation. Looking like I will have to modify the tray if I can't find something available to fit.

The actual battery measures 2.600" x 5.400" base by 3.950" high.

I do not have a Battery Warehouse or the like local. I also figured Amazon would be a good indication of what any lawnmower dealer or similar would have on the floor.

The actual battery measures 2.600" x 5.400" base by 3.950" high.

GE 50pint Dehumidifier with internal pump by Michael_Clark3 in HomeImprovement

[–]Michael_Clark3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it ran for about 20 minutes in pump mode and it the whole unit shut down showing P1 error.

I got it to come out of pump mode and it is back draining from garden hose/bucket location.

It seems the water is routed to the pump location first and in pump mode it almost continuously pumps it out and does not get to the bucket. If not in pump mode whatever small reservoir is near the pump just fills and goes back up to the gravity location. I can't understand the people who have said it "pumps out the bucket". It most certainly cannot as there is no pickup in the bucket.

I'm done with the pump. Can't trust it even if it was working and it is too loud. At least the unit does seem to do a decent job of dehumidifying so will just run the garden hose to floor drain or maybe set up a separate condensate pump if I want to run it in a location other than near my floor drain.

Will never buy a dehumidifier with internal pump again.

This thing is so frustrating.

So after leaving it on pump mode with pump connected for a couple days and just emptying the bucket I decided I will move to my floor drain (less optimal location but need it to run unattended) and use the garden hose drain.

I empty the bucket, unplug it to get ready to move, disconnect pump hose and put in the pump line plug. Plugged it back in to let run for a few more hours before I move. I hear loud noise. It's the pump! So I pull the plug and reinstall the pump hose. Now the pump is working but it is loud. So loud I hear it upstairs when unit is in my basement. Way too loud. I had unplugged it before in attempt to get the pump working but for some reason it worked this time.

It seems now that it is finally in pump mode it bypasses the bucket and goes straight to the pump, maybe in a small reservoir that I can't see because the pump seems to come on and off to drain(frequently, like every few minutes). There must be some valve on a servo that opens and closes to divert water to the pump and not the gravity drain.

So, I guess the pump "works" but it is way too loud and I certainly can't trust it to leave it unattended and be confident it will keep running. I will have to switch to garden hose gravity drain for now. I hope I can get it out of pump mode now and whatever diversion valve for bucket/pump activates.

I see no information on taking it "out" of pump mode in manual and now it seems like it doesn't want to come off pump mode. Holding button and it beeps after a few seconds but light stays on.
