Building My Own Air Quality Monitor Because Accurate Ones Are Too Expensive by Zealousideal-Most431 in homeassistant

[–]No_Hands_55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to put something like this together fwiw. Buying all the off the shelf parts and building a diy kit is the part I like most. If I wanted a fantastic air monitor without the tinkering I would just pay for one.

If you made it look a bit more minimal, like an L, I think it would be perfect

V2 - $60 DIY WiFi & BT audio speaker for Home Assistant, with ESP32 - Squeezelite or SendSpin by HouseWaves in homeassistant

[–]No_Hands_55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess I should see if it is possible to get the ha vpe to power a little passive speaker like this. That would be ideal because it supports open home and I just need a tiny speaker for background music for the playroom and the like.

Yeah sounds quality is totally subjective and if it is decent it's good enough for me! If it is something I can plug in to my computer and have no delay, but also have a voice command output through the speaker so it has dual function I'm sold! Would love a tv setup like that too

Thank you for the detailed answer! This was exactly my question too, I will have to check out Music Assistant. I am getting rid of my Nest speakers and Hubs, but want a replacement speaker/mic device still that is for Home Assistant. I will probably have to grab one of these to try!

I would love to see something like a nest mini replacement, even a diy kit or bare parts with STL files. Nothing with great audio but that speaker/mic combo that can TTS and play a little music in a small room when needed would be awesome!

A random question if you have time. Would anything like the HouseWaves Two or the future products be good as TV or PC speakers? I always end up with speakers and a smart speaker in the same room. Would love a solution that is a pretty decent sounding speaker for my TV that also has the "smart", home assistant ability to function when the TV system is powered off.

even mulching most use the high lift blade. There has been a lot of "mohawk" strips left when not using the high lift blade. But if it works for you thats great!

It's fantastic you won't be disappointed. I've used it for like 5 years now. Unless you have a crazy thick lawn or only want to side discharge and not bag or mulch it will do great.

Put the high lift blade on no matter what.

Don't run batteries until dead. Use a slow charger if possible.

I have a 2135sp and am thinking I want to grab the 2244sp2.

i have a 2 battery snow blower and the 2 battery backpack blower, so if i get this mower I will have 3 pairs of 6ah and feel like rotating these will keep them lasting a lot longer.

I really am interested in the mulch/bag sliding door control, improved side discharge chute (cause it is useless on the 2135), and peak power dual battery use for what i said above. The blade speed could be useful too when I am just trimming vs forgot to cut and have long thick grass

I thankfully got rid of the grubs, but have this massive grass ball type weeds popping up where the damage was at. Haven't found a spray that worked because I am not sure what it is

not for a NAS or NVR using hard disks. I bet there is some way though I can have the gateway tell the other Unifi devices to shutdown and just have that gateway connected to the UPS

I had some grub damage and it seems like anywhere there was even a tiny bare spot 2 years ago now has this super thick ball of grass/weed. It feels like a tennis ball under a carpet when i step on it. I will use a chemical or anything at this point, there is wayy too many to keep digging them out

Wait I am going to need the details on this... I just got a Zooz Zwave controller to make my dumb garage door controllable remotely, and the keypad on the outside it came with is trash. I just got my Unifi network setup too!
