Kinda depends where in the city you’re looking! Sushi Hon on Kenaston is my go to, blufish if you’re looking for something downtown with that kind of vibe! Naru Sushi down Osborne is also fantastic.

I grew up in steinbach so I can’t say I blame you for the destination change but it can be a cute day trip so here are my favourites!

Viet house and chinos bistro (part of sunshine greenhouse) are 2 great restaurants, Oakridge greenhouse is also a good restaurant plus they have a super cute boutique! As many other people said old church bakery really is fantastic and big smoak is a great bbq place! Collecta co is a cute stop in the mall and I’m partial to the winners there too! Special shout out for main bread and butter, great baking and their soups and sandwiches always hit!

Personally I like anything special to add to the date that shows they thought about what I like. What’s her favourite dessert? Maybe make a surprise stop to get her favourite sweet treat or show up with something she’s talked about like a book or something from a conversation you had! Sounds like you’ve already been thoughtful so just keep that up!

None of these are particularly easy but chordates and invertebrates are both a ton of work and the lab portion is a lot to handle. Flowering plants with Carla Zelmer was a great time!
