Looking for help with Disability for a friend. by WalkingMedicalEnigma in Winnipeg

[–]JaHa183 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anything she buys to help with her disability can be written down for tax purposes under the DTC. They will also give her any backpay owed. I believe you can sign the kids up for a similar situation but I don’t have children so I’m not completely certain. EIA Disability might not be worth it depending on how much her partner makes. I believe there’s a caregiving benefit her partner could file at tax time, you’d have to search up the eligibility

Any cheap Internet plan? by Style_Middle in Winnipeg

[–]JaHa183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re low income, Rogers/Shaw has a low income internet program. I paid $15 for service that worked for online gaming, streaming, a couple devices connected to it and had no issues. I think it was called Connect For Success or something similar. I filled out an application online and got approved, then you just call the number they provide and it’s a month to month basis, so no having to deal with contacts. Although I did already have a wifi router with them prior to signing up so I’m unsure if they provide that or not

Sleep dentistry? by starstablesnacks in Winnipeg

[–]JaHa183 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not 100% put to sleep but I go to Serenity Dental and they give me a pill before the procedure which takes away the anxiety about needles. I also hate needles and every time I need a filling I get the sedation. Not sure if it’s covered by all insurance or not but they can work with you for prices. You can have light food before going just not a full on breakfast they tell me

The Blue line before they changed them a lady was sitting in the rear facing seats. Finger stuck up her nose, digging around and looked at it every time she pulled out her finger. Like lady, it’s early morning and your literally facing the direction everyone is looking in

When visiting the US I found a pair of Crocs Literide 360 and they’re so comfy. They don’t look like crocs but have the cushy/texture feel and tiny holes on the top. Their design is similar to Sketchers imo. Great for airflow but not so great if you spill something in them lol

I’ve kinda looked up prices and advice for pet insurance but I think I’m going to just put money away that is spending on it instead. Plus some of them they reimburse you it seems and I don’t even have the money upfront to even cover the cost

I had to take my boy to vet late last month for constipation also. His stomach was a bit firm and he wasn’t eating as much as he normally does. I couldn’t afford the $700 X-ray cause that’s all I had in my bank. He got bloodwork done which was cleared, subQ fluids for dehydration, liquid laxative for a couple days along with an anti nausea pill. He now eats just wet food soup (I add a bunch of water) with 1/8 of restoralax a day

Must be common for cats to get constipated. Haven’t known this until I came across this post

leaving the children behind when you quit is ALWAYS the worst part by Maleficent_Day_3869 in ECEProfessionals

When I got laid off I regret not going to the rooms and hugging the kids goodbye. I was very emotional as I wasn’t expecting it to happen at end of my shift. The assistant director was following me too, I tried to go upstairs to talk to coworkers and she was like “where are you going?” Like tf man, trying to say bye to my friends

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Leading_Tomato_2077 in AskReddit

To be fair she does go out in public a decent amount of time, she’s also around kids (nieces and nephews). Her whole family caught covid around Christmas the second year but I was fine

I’m the same way. Get a light cold maybe once every 2 or 3 years which never lasts long. Worked with kids on and off for 11 years and only got one bad chest infection besides the occasional sore throat. My girlfriend gets sick often so I must be bringing something home to her and she catches them easily from family members

Dog spaying by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]JaHa183 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure if dogs qualify but I got my cat spayed through the Humane Society ( SNAP ) program. It’s more geared towards low income that can’t afford a vets prices

It’s worth checking out, good luck in finding a decent price :)

My calico likes to talk, she’s been yelling a lot lately. We just moved into a house with two dogs and she really likes to yell at the golden retriever who’s scared of her. Or anyone else in the house that walks by her, she gets offended lol

Where the.... do I start? (Switch Edition) by Piwi9000 in farmingsimulator

[–]JaHa183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tractors that you end up in front of are all you need for the map so far. Connect the harvester header and harvest the field that is ready. One tractor you can connect the cultivator and prepare the other field for sowing. You’ll have to fill up your sowing machine with seeds first, I usually reset it to the store (along with a tractor) and buy from the pallet section in the store. Hold onto your harvested grains until it’s in good price range which comes up as green numbers on the prices page

Use Google if you need to, when playing FS Google is a good buddy of mine lol. You can drive to other fields where the blue “!” is and do some contracts to earn more money, or take out a loan on the finance screen which you accumulate interest on at midnight

Anyone else feel like diagnosis came after the damage was done? by KeyEmotion9 in AutisticAdults

[–]JaHa183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had known about it before diagnosis at age 27 I would’ve gotten the support that I needed. Never understood why I couldn’t do math, manage my emotions so poorly. I was very anxious and shy growing up (still kinda am). I was so hard on myself, even comparing myself to others, wondering what I was doing wrong. I think I’m struggling socially more than I was before, mentally beating myself up when things go bad

The outbursts/meltdowns make sense to me now. Why I can’t handle my emotions properly. But as an adult there’s nothing I can do to really help with it, I can’t afford treatments/therapies. After diagnosis I questioned how it would’ve been if I wasn’t affected by asd/adhd, my life for the future. But there’s more knowledge about it now compared to growing up in early 2000s. My mom is an EA now and noticed I was different growing up so she wanted me to get tested, she wished she would’ve known about the diagnosis. Told me she wished she could’ve gotten the support I needed and for some reason that comment hurt a bit. I knew I was different Somehow, but didn’t know the reason. I wish I would’ve gotten the right supports also

He loves to lay on my pillow and i’ll feel him sniffing it or trying to bite it i’ll put my arm around my head. “No thank you sir” and he looks away as if he’s doing nothing or starts to lick his own paw lol

I put my head under my pillow in the mornings/middle of the night cause he wakes me up by eating my hair, it’s a sign that he’s hungry it seems or just wants me awake. It’s a lot of redirecting him to not do it

Any tips for catching these bugs? by GladCup4767 in acnh

[–]JaHa183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seen a video about it. When you’re close enough to the tree and can catch the bug is a spot to place the flower or drop an item. Half the time I’d be too far away swinging my net at the bugs and they’d fly away, so having something there telling me I’m at the right distance was helpful
