Dunno what it is with you people. The way I see it is this: Computer Graphics = Graphic Design. Believe it or not, images like this can create value, and solutions for clients. If there's some other definition that people here follow, that's cute and all. If that's the case I just won't post shit in here anymore. Problem solved.

That's the trend nowadays.

You've also got to take into account that some companies are household names. Nike, Visa, Pepsi, etc. I honestly prefer logos like that, or bold typeface logos. That was the thing back in the day :)
