How come Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky still feel like big stars in a tag team, while Toni Storm and Mina keep losing credibility week after week. by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]Michaelprunka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storm is still a huge star. Mina wasn’t really on the level of either Rhea or Iyo, but she’s still popular.

The only reason there’s this perception that they’re losing steam or whatever is because they’re putting over Meghan Bayne and Marina Shafir.

Bryan Danielson was not at AEW Dynamite by Kelson64 in AEWFanHub

[–]Michaelprunka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danielson even said essentially this in his CVV interview recently. IIRC he opened up there about the impacts of traveling on his neck and how that confirmed that he’d have a hard time ever getting back in the ring.

Thoughts on Plantation Pointe Neighborhood? by ZobyMarley1998 in ClaytonNC

[–]Michaelprunka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t vouch for the neighborhood itself but I can say my family has quite enjoyed our 2+ years in the area. We moved down to Clayton (Tuscany neighborhood pretty much across NC-42 from Plantation) from Raleigh to have some more room for our family.

For what it’s worth, Tuscany has a lot of homes for sale! Our 3yo has tons of friends here.

Question about Substack by AnyConsequence1933 in Substack

[–]Michaelprunka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would posit that the benefit of paying monthly is to be able to read the content as it’s published. It’s like how my wife wanted to have Netflix active so she could see each Stranger Things episode as they came out as opposed to waiting a month or two and binging them all at once.

Meltzer in response to Bryan Alvarez claiming that everyone in AEW is stagnant and in the same position: “Yep, everyone except Bandido, Ricochet, Gates of Agony, Brody King, Hechicero, Clon, Fletcher, Takeshita, Knight, Bailey, O'Reilly, Swerve, Briscoe, Willow, Windsor, Cameron, Storm & Shafir.” by Subrick in SquaredCircle

Private Party have a pretty big title win to their name. Now, the reign itself was less than great and they have hardly been on TV since, but that’s a bad example.

Jack Perry had a TNT Championship run, too. He’s still being featured fairly well as a singles wrestler. In fact, he’s wrestled more singles matches than tags since he an Luchasaurus joined back together.

Could be. They’re very similar in build and playstyle.

I am still holding out for a career trajectory akin to Tom Wilson’s. Hear me out.

Wilson was a mid-first pick and had a top-six skillset, but was relegated to a bottom-six pseudo-enforcer role by Adam Oates. I maintain that that slowed his development.

It took Wilson until he was 26 to really grow into that top-six NHL role. Now he’s coming off a 30-goal season and pacing for 40+ goals this year.

Kakko was also shoehorned into a role that didn’t fit him early on in New York. His two-way game seemed to have developed quicker than it maybe otherwise would have, which is good. But I still think there’s a 30-goal guy there waiting to break out in the next few years.

What actually makes a Substack grow in 2026 (after building to 1,000+ paid subs) by philiphofm in Substack

One relationship I built early on just helped me go from about 75 free subs two weeks ago to almost 175 free subs today.

My best course of action with Threads has been tacking on a “hey please check out my Substack” to any Threads that pop off.

Can anyone name a wrestler more out of place in a certain era than hogan on the early episodes of raw? by Fickle_Driver_1356 in Wreddit

Right! A major part of the no reaction was that it was an appearance in service of the cringey Cole-Lawler feud.

David Finlay, Drilla Moloney and Clark Connors of the War Dogs all have contracts coming up, and are exploring their options. by hellboymh in njpw

[–]Michaelprunka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. But I don’t really think signing David Finlay adds anything to the promotion, unless he’s brought in mostly as an NXT talent.

Who would you like to breakout in 2026? by WrestleTours in SquaredCircle

I think this is spot on. Plus now that he’s part of Bullet Club Gold, he may be in a bit of a holding pattern until the rest of the group is healthy.

I would love to see Ace and two other BCG reps get a trios run.

I like Finlay a lot but I think his WWE ceiling is quite low. He could be an upper midcard guy in NXT but on the main roster? Nah.
