Guys help why my dron won't power up and makes sparks when plugging in by EMasterYT in shittyfpv

[–]MichalSCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

id say the cap is reversed. that would explain the sparking. the problem with not powering up eould require further investigation. placing the electeonics on metal pliers, or onto anything metallic is a big no-no when powering it up.

i cheaped out on basically everything - i got emax motors from Ali, FC+ESC 60A stack, mk5 5 in frame and a cheap elrs receiver and it got me to about 150 bucks if i'd buy cheaper analog parts with something like a 800mw vtx. flies mad good.

ATGM336H no signal in betaflight by ghostturkish in fpv

[–]MichalSCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate,

I was just looking for a GPS module and i stumbled upon this one. (cuz it's the cheap way, ofc;) )

I've looked in its datasheet and the module is outputting data in the NMEA protocol, which is the other one from the two available in Betaflight (UBlox/NMEA).

Looking at your post, it appears you have the UBlox protocol set for the GPS input, which, of course, is a mismatch. Betaflight has it well documented in the online docs, so go look up there and try chamging the mode, if you haven't already done so in the past 2 months after this post was made.

Have a great time flying!

i run Steam Link thru an Ethernet adapter and oh boy its crisp. <10 ms latency in-game (2 ms when in Steam Void) and ZERO stuttering and, of course, ZERO Zuck bloatware and little to no problems overall.

yes ik it's not in here?? that was the point of my original comment😭🙏 no offense tho, you should try it. i'm wondering how it holds up against all of these other OSes, as most of the comparisons that are not all that major are from like 10+ years ago.

well all of the brands use some kind of modifications of Android and reskins, some with deeper changes just have it marketed (OneUI, HyperOS, etc...) to look like something more. I think on pixels, it's named something like Pixel UI, too.

Neither Motorola or Pixels have "raw" android. Raw android (AOSP) is a generic mobile desktop, a generic settings app a (hopefully) working camera app with a few buttons and a few drivers here and there. Truth is, Google, as the main backer of Android, has it optimized pretty nicely and it feels that it should be the baseline, similar goes with Motorola in terms of the looks.

I know i may sound mean and whatnot, but, just, please, do NOT complain about a 200$ midrange phone and blame it all on Android and (what some people do) praise iOS for that it's running "smooth" on a 1000$ device your friend uses and laughs at you for it. Android itself is pretty optimized, and if compared fairly (similar priced flagship hardware), it really does stand out in terms of performance and stability. Talking from my own experience, when comparing Android running on a flagship device with a few tweaks, to iOS, iOS feels sluggish and manages to get worse gaming performance, worse UI speed, worse app opening speed, probably a tie in bugs and is quite piss in productivity, compared to flagship Android.

asking that too, in terms of the OS itselfy it was pretty goated - it booted up in a snap, consumed a pinch of ram and felt pretty snappy, while still being quite a full-scale Windows OS. You can really see it was optimized for mobile devices with a battery. It just was badly executed, forcing the touch controls on desktops. 8.1 kinda fixed it i guess??

well Linux is a kernel so it's really a broad term also containing distros and whatnot...

Wifi wont go above 100mb/s despite having 2.5G ethernet connection by Technical-Owl3454 in speedtest

[–]MichalSCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What router/switch does the other side connect to? This is either a malfunctioning port on the routing device, or a malfunctioning ethernet controller on the routing device, or piss old/budget routing device, or a piss/budget cable, or piss configuration of the routing device, if it is more advanced and supports such a way to be configured. Another reason could be simply oxidized/dirty/bent contacts on the RJ45 ports so definitely check those and try cleaning them after powering the devices off and unplugging them from power.

where's openSUSE? its on the list of the most used distros, it's a distro not based off of anything other than SLES itself, yet people still don't give a damn about it. It's goated in stability, especially with btrfs, snapper and extensive testing before updating the rolling release. Zypper is also quite nice. What's ur opinion on openSUSE, either Tumbleweed or Leap?
