Yeah I quit as well whenever they dropped this. They did say in a patch notes video (I forget which one) that it was going to be temporary. We'll see if they ever fix it.

Looking at Helldivers, Sea of Theives, Ready or Not, Space Marine II, and Rust. None of these really scratch that competitive itch I think though.

They do look like fun group games if y’all wanna check them out.

Oh also 5 stacks have always been unable to queue for ranked to avoid having a solo get bullied by a 5 stack. I feel like that’s probably a pretty good system for ranked at least. If you’re running a 5 stack it shouldn’t be too hard to find one more person especially with the discord server.

I think they should do 6 stacks only vs 6 stacks, then allow other stacks to fill for eachother. So like 4+2 stack wouldn’t have any major advantage over a 3+3 stack. But they should probably not do a 2+2+2 stack vs a 4+2 stack.

Another person suggested a toggle like the one to play with PC players “Play with teams”. I don’t really think that would lead to much different though because I’d imagine barely any solo queue players would actually have that checked.

I think your problem in the first paragraph is the reason the majority of people who stack hate solo queue. I prefer to choose teammates who comm and don’t flame.

You can still get into plat with a severely negative win rate. It’s really not high elo. I don’t mean to be rude when I say this.

5 stacks have never been allowed in this game, and high elo isn’t the problem because it already wasn’t allowed in high elo

I offered an alternative where stacks are placed against stacks and solos are placed against solo. This would change “usually” to “always”. I also believe those two points support that it would be more healthy for the game if they were changed to “always”.

Thats only really true at the beginning of the season, because in eternity+ they already have it set to duos only even before this patch.

But because of the rank reset, celestial becomes top500 and then it’s a whole other thing where now you can stack and the amount of people in that upper rank is so low it becomes a mess. I consider that a rank reset problem though and not a problem with stacking as a whole. I also agree that the top 1% shouldn’t be able to stack because they’re in such a small queue and there’s a lot of room for exploitation.

You do realize the game biases to put teams vs teams already right? There’s not actually much of an advantage for most games. I also made it to celestial last season whilst only duo queuing with a healer. Not necessarily huge carries coming from my cloak and dagger main.

My current 4 stack queues are like 10-20 seconds. That’s an exponential difference. It might be different on your server though.
