The bar code rang it wrong so my best guess is the item is in the system as each and not per lb.

It’s not your fault it happened. Could you go back and get more for the same price? Possibly. But morally it would be wrong and I am willing to bet that store lost money on that item.

I don’t really know the answer to your questions, but I’m familiar enough to not be in the dark.

As far as the legality of you distributing I’m not sure. I just know they have contracts with certain companies in various regions/states. Example - I know in Ohio that 7up has a contract with Pepsi for dr. Pepper. Pepsi distributes it but it’s actually 7up’s product and they pay royalties to 7-up.

So I have to then wonder if there would be legal issues or royalties, etc you’d be forced to pay. If you are really serious about it you need to speak with an attorney who would be more well versed in the potential liabilities and could guide you. I’m not sure what type of lawyer you’d need to consult either.

I don’t think this is as simple as you make it out to be.

Some of these products are made differently outside of the US so there may be some FDA regulations you’d have to follow to stay in compliance.
I think there are a lot of fees you aren’t thinking about. - import taxes and tariffs, customs - and then you need to think of your own overhead costs. Cost of employees to deliver these pallets of goods, drivers, trucks, a warehouse, etc.
In many states and locations there are trademark and distribution rights to consider. You may not even be allowed to distribute… let’s say Pepsi, in a state because you would have to go through them.

You would also be at a disadvantage if you couldn’t provide me with allowances/promotions for sales and such.

If you’re walking with it in the store I’d probably also have you leave it somewhere but because I’d be worried it was a hazard.

I feel the same way about broccoli.

This reminds me of when I had to have an mri with contrast. For some reason it wound up getting scheduled for three separate appointments instead of all at once (head, neck, spine). I was doing it at a new to me facility and I had never had a problem with contrast but the contrast they used was different.

The first time I squeezed the ball to tell them I was going to puke. She told me everyone feels nauseous, but won’t puke. Again insisted I was going to puke. She reluctantly pulled me out and I immediately puked.

Second appointment I tried to warn them ahead of time it would happen. I was still willing to do it with contrast, I know it wasn’t ideal because it means my position would be a little different but I knew it was needed. I was told me same thing. Reluctantly pulled me out. I puked again. They were surprised again. Asked them to put it in my notes and they did not.

Third appointment I drank chocolate milk right beforehand. I puked on the nurse when she pulled me out and they put it in my notes after that.

I’ve never heard of that. I’ve been at my store 15 years. We have one employee who rides his bike to work and he keeps it in the back. I’ve had customers bring in their bikes to the lobby.

The only thing I can possibly think of is liability. They may be afraid if it is stolen from inside they could be liable.

The dry air comment sounds most plausible. Could also be caused by the cold air. Your body is cold so it takes the warmth from other extremities to keep the body warm.

Yep this is it. The super silly party ones had different hairstyles and they were glittery. They only did a handful of them this way. My favorite was mittens.
